I did buy a few gift cards this year but I have toys for the grandkids too.
Can't forget the toys, that is for sure, many Christmas's spent buying toys

no rose... I have so enjoyed shopping for toys this year... and yes, I spend many years buying toys for my kids.  Toys are fun!

Where has JSM been all these years, she could have wrapped our presents for us. My mom would wrap some presents when the kids were smaller, but as they grew, some were wrapped and some were in black trash bags with ribbon on them

ha ha ha... I love it!  I don't know about yall.... but when I was a little girl, my presents from Santa were not wrapped... just under the tree.  When I got older the presents were wrapped.
I remember all my presents wrapped

Maybe it is because when I was young enough to believe in Santa, I was the only child..... that is probably the reason, my parents did that.

I was watching on tv about safety and toys this year. The only thing I worried about was small parts because my youngest daughter always put things in her mouth  Now it is quite a project picking out toys with all the warnings and chemicals that might be in a toy. I'm sure that was there when buying toys years ago, we just didn't hear about it

I was the only child also, and I believed in Santa way longer than I suppose you should have

Yes, I think you are correct... there are many toys I had as a child that would not be allowed now as they are unsafe.  I try to stick to the major ones like Fisher Price and brands as I feel they have a huge reputation and do more to keep their toys safe.  Do you think that is true?  Or am I looking through rose colored glasses??  LOL

I stuck to Fischer Price and Little Tykes they make good toys and sturdy, when they were very little. Their Little Tykes car my kids played with that forever, I still can't believe after all that car went through, the wheels were still on it.

I still have on of those little coupes in the back yard behind the shed and will probably pull it out this summer and wash it down for the grandbabies.... the things last forever!

The kids love those cars. Now everything is motorized, my parents wanted to buy the kids the Barbie car that was motorized, and I told them don't, it was way to expensive, and they need to use their little legs for exercise. I'm going to go walk Zoe, she is barking at me

Good morning Wyks    My neighbor just called me, she was with her dog, and another neighbor with her two dogs around 8 this morning, and three coyotes came strolling towards them  We live by avocado fields, and you expect them to howl, and see one in there, but now they are becoming bolder and bolder. So now we are trying to get the word out for others to watch when they walk their dogs.

Thanks NorthernRose...I'll go check it out.
I gotta take Digger to bed. He got into some cat food.    He is sick.
See ya'll in the morning.

Awwww Trimm.  Hope Digger is feeling better now.  Am behind in here, trying to catch up.  My doxie Neiko will eat anything or try.  His vet suggested keeping canned pumpkin on hand at all times, it helps with tummy upsets.  Just a few bites will 'slide' anything on out and coat his tummy.  (I freeze the leftovers for the next go-round).  Hope that helps.

Hi Rosie!!

And yikes!     Scary that they've become so bold!  Have read about this happening in some areas.  It's being suggested for those who are out walking, or just in their own yards, to carry a whistle, stay calm and walk away <not run> if/when coyotes get too close.   Putting up signs near that area could help to warn others too.  Stay safe!

Doxies can sure be a handful, but I love their obstinate lil personalities!

Heidi is a very cute name for a doxie!  Growing up I had one named Fritz.  lol

Doxies are really good at tracking prey etc.  Used to take the one I have now to tracking trials, he loved it!  The last part of his registered name is Neiko Trubble Trackr.  Cuz tracking trouble is one of his specialties.   Monkey Devil!
