Good Afternoon Monkeys!

Mission I am jealous...all I got was a few lousy icicles and they are gone now. I don't ever remember a white Christmas here.

Bananas ...I have twin grandbabies also, but not babies anymore. They are 9. but they are so special. It is amazing to see how they interact as babies. I have  boy-girl twins and they are just opposites in looks. I babysat them while mom and dad worked and would just sit in amazement watching them interact. My son always said  when he was a kid that he wished he had a twin, I always counter-acted with God forbid two of him. lol. So fiting that he ended up having twins of his own. Enjoy them to the fullest.

Tevye hope you are having a good day today.

JSM, you better get busy shopping.

Trimm, I just love all of your avi's but the one yesterday with the two babies and the snowman was just precious.

No rose be careful of the coyotes.

Anybody else I missed, take care and stay warm.

My shopping is done and just have a few more to wrap. Groceries are bought , I am going to hibernate here with the Monkeys til at least Tuesday Morning when my mom has a doctors appt.

GOOD MORNING MONKEYS (in my best Robin Williams voice)
Hey Tevye!    (in my best my azz is grass if I don't get to the store voice)

I see we missed Sassy.Dagnabit.
Gotta scoot.I'll be back after while.

I'm still here.

I missed you all yesterday, though.   I was running around the stores, getting ready for the snow storm, like the rest of the fools.  I was lucky and bought the last two shovels at the local mom and pop hardware store - Lowes sold out early in the morning.   We don't usually get snow like this - its fun.
I want snow Sassy. PS I love your kitty in the Christmas suit!
Hi JSM.

You can have all the snow that falls here today.

We got over a foot yesterday and they are predicting another foot today/tonight.

We have enough! No one can go anywhere in our community. Streets (private) have not been plowed and the cars disappeared and look like mounds of snow. We filled the bird feeder late yesterday afternoon and it is almost empty. The birds have really been busy out there. I can see it from my office room window as I type.

Poor Brandi. She has a little tunnel/path she made in the yard going out to potty, and she tried turning around to come back in the hoiuse and couldn't figure out how to turn around in it. LOL It was so funny!

Anyway, winds have also picked up and they have officially called it a blizzard now.

Luckily, we still have power!

Hello everyone! Hope your day is going well.

Later Sassy!
Monkey Devil! I have a feeling Tevye is real good at being real bad.  Hope you make it back safe.

Hahaha!

Mission, I suspect you are right on that!

Trimm, be careful out there!

I have done nothing but fight with this association on two topics that got me nowhere and I just gave up. I hate HOA's also, but here try to find a neighborhood without, it is almost impossible around here. I would love to _itch slap the vice president of the association, she makes me so angry I won't look at her.  Mission good luck with shopping  JSM have a good day
We only have HOA's in the fancy gated neighborhoods, so I have never had to deal with one. My mom has one and you can't park your car in the driveway overnight  or you will get a fine.

IMO, HOAs are crazy. YOU own the home and the property it is sitting on. Why on earth give people you do not know the right to tell you what you can do in it? I know they are prevalent, but I have always thought they were just intrusive and nasty. It's almost as if you don't own your own home, living with an HOA.

I hate them.

Here in Texas.... when it hits 40, this old Texas gal shivers.... we are used to blood boiling temps in the 100s in the summer so by the time winter gets here our blood is too thin I guess... or so they say. Only 6 more shopping days til Christmas... is everyone done yet?

Dear Santa, please send elves... need help.
Exactly bananas, that is why I am freezing my behind off right now.  I haven't even started shopping yet.

Yes.... brrrrrrr..... I am almost done with my shopping... did a lot of it online.... you getter get busy.... sending some elves to help you......
I will probably get up early and hit Kohls and Walmart tomorrow if I don't get it done today.

I have all this wrapping to do now... that is what I really need elves for.  I will spend a whole day sitting in the middle of the den with paper, ribbon tape and scissors everywhere and probably even in my hair til I get them all wrapped.  Even though this is a yearly ritual, for some reason it is my least favorite part of Christmas.  It will be great fun to watch the grandbabies open them though.  I have twin grandababie who are almost a year old.... this is going to be an exciting Christmas for our family.

Hi bananas!

I hate wrapping. LOL

I always sit in the middle of the floor and do it all at once also. Usually Christmas Eve! And I always keep losing the scissors! Have to go on a "move everything around" search for those darned scissors!

Hubby is outside out front trying to clear off the cars, son is out back working on shoveling the porch steps there. I worry about them outside in this mess of snow!

Well, now, darla, I am yammering to myself too! LOL

But son just went out in the back near the creek during a little respite from snow falling and took these pics. Though I'd share a few with you all.

Doesn't look like it, but I believe we have had 14" when the pics were taken.

JSM, we'll keep what we have, and you can have the next 12" or so they are predicting for today/tonight.

Brandi stay in and stay safe.  When you are not used to snow and cold it can be very dangerous.  Especially out on the roads.  You have to worry about everyone around you as you have no idea if they have snow tires on and will come crashing your way.  A friend of mine is stuck in NC right now.  She flew down to see her family for a week and was supposed to be flying out today.  Her text to me said that there was no way that was going to happen.

I just finished rearranging my son's room, hurt myself moving his desk with hutch so decided to take a break.  It just started snowing here again and is supposed to continue until Tuesdayish.  I have all the Christamas shopping done yet hubby took daughter to go "shopping".  If he does not buy something he feels like nothing has been bought.  I just don't get it.  Next year I will just not buy anything and leave it all to him.  He wants to do more shopping tonight and I told him to have a good time.  Think he got the hint that I am not going?  He has not bought a tree yet but suspect that is coming tonight now that he realizes Christmas is near.

Sorry to hear that your friend is stuck in NC, the way this weather is going it is going to be difficult at any of the airports, the next day or so. That is great advice you gave Brandi, I remember when we lived in Albuquerque, and the couple of storms we had, people had no idea what they were doing on the roads, it was nuts. Which made no sense to me, because I figured most people had been up into the mountains skiing and would have figured out how to drive in icy, snowy conditions.

Husband is Canadian, and used to this stuff. But I still have to make him take breaks shoveling. He has an ON and an OFF button. He does not know how to pace himself. LOL

I heard on the weather channel (this storm is moving up the East Coast) that all DC airports are closed, so it does not surprise me your friend is snowed in air-wise at all. This is a big storm.
