Good morning, thanks for the info about Tricia over at WS.  Tevye glad you are feeling better, I do believe we posted together over on WS
Were you part of the Web Cam Casual group? The one that had to meet in the basement...and yet we still managed to get into trouble? Ah, good times!!!
Oh yes I always liked the basement the best. I had a hard time dealing with some of the people in Caylee's thread with their half baked scenarios. I couldn't take it anymore, so I stopped posting. Then decided since I couldn't remember my password to get back in months later, to reinvent myself with a whole new name and persona.

The basement is what I liked best, too!
I especially enjoyed the Haleigh rumor thread, but now that they took that away I don't go there as much.

That was one of my favorite spots, too.   I don't know what was wrong with it.  Why did they take it away?   They always shut down the good threads.

Good morning everyone!

Tevye - glad you're feeling better!

Interesting about WS.   Can some smart monkey tell me what FFJ is?    I don't know if I'm just having a brain fart or if I just never heard of it.   Is it another site owned by Tricia?
Morning Sassy, I had never heard of tricia until last night. Sorry I can't help on that question.

That's ok.   Thanks for answering me anyway.     an angelic monkey

You are funny - I got a bunch of Christmas socks a few years ago because I had a broken leg - they look so funny but the thing is they do keep me warm and now I wear them all of the time!

JSM Back in 1996, when JonBenet Ramsey was murdered, Dan Trevino started a forum about it.  Those days were wild.  The Boulder News had a forum where you could sign in with a different name every time and have discussions with yourself and it was really crazy, but fun.  A group called Red Hot Chili Peppers (Not the rock band, but as I recall, something to do with molesting hamsters) hacked it from time to time. A person who called itself Jameson was there and told tales about how his wife was killed during a high speed chase on the autobahn.  Turned out Jameson was a woman who became friends with the Ramseys.  Somehow or other this person Jameson was sort of partnered with a woman from North George and they had a falling out so they split, one becoming Websleuths and one becoming Webbsleuths. The Boulder News forum folded after one too many complaints. Dan Trevino had a group of interesting people, there was a poster who called herself Mrs. Brady who would post urls to all the sites of the day that mentioned JonBenet.  She might still be posting on the "Secret Forum", I don't know.  I know that several of them are still posting.  Anyway, Dan Trevino eventually didn't have time to continue as webmaster, so he gave it to someone who continued it. Can't recall her name.  Then this person wanted to go to school to be a vet tech as I recall, but I might be wrong about the school,   so she had a sort of contest and the winner got it, but then they had a falling out and somehow Trisha ended up with it and Trisha also ended up with Websleuths.  I can't recall the name of the first forum that evolved from Dan Trevino's forum. But it's like a big "Secret." Tricia became very restrictive at Websleuths and for some reason AOL members couldn't join. I was a member before Trishia got it and I never joined it after Trisha got it, but I recognize a number of members from the old Dan Trevino site there.  Unless Tricia banned herself, it is some kind of joke or it's been hacked.

If you ask me about Cybersleuths, that's an even longer story. A story about an abandoned forum which was confiscated by a poster and...well, it's for another time.

I've been around forums for a very long time.
Wow Babybear. Thanks for this info and forum history. I never knew forums existed until Caylee went missing. I don't even think I had internet when JonBenet went missing.

Good morning JSM.  Trisha's post jogged my memory.  the "Secret" forum is FFJ Forums for Justice which I believe was the name of the Trevino forum.  I was on the internet in 1996 because it was shortly after my husband died and my doctor told me to either get another husband or get on the internet.  I chose the internet.

Mornin' Monks!

Well, I must say I am still crushed over being banned forever from a site I haven't been to since maybe last Feb. I'm thinking maybe it was not that I was rude to a mod (Muffy, thanks for the confirmation)...I think they're just ticked that I stole Bob from them!!! Obviously, it's a loss they feel they will never recover from. Monkey Devil! And hey, I'm all about free speech, and at least here, the mods don't wear brown shirts. (note to mods: I haven't named the site, so technically I'm not trashing it or them. I also don't have any envelopes to push....but I do have some medicine!)

(Can ya'll tell I'm feeling a bit better??  )
Glad you are feeling better Tevye.
Hey, how's the weather down there? We have 20 degrees, snow  falling so thick I can barely see across the road, and another day of school closings. Of course, again the college is open, but I don't have classes today so I don't care! I just hope all those students use their brains and stay home. I must confess, I do have an urge to try out my new tires, but I will resist. Since I am feeling better, today will be the day that the HAIR ALL OVER MY HOUSE GOES DOWN!! Yes, folks, you read it here first, I plan on vacuuming! Of course, that requires getting dressed in something besides my robe and flannel nightgown, so it may not happen till after noon, but IT WILL HAPPEN!
It got into the teens overnight, not sure what the temp is right now. Luckily no snow/ice. I'm glad you are feeling better and don't go try out those new tires. What's wrong with vacuuming in a flannel gown and robe?  Do you dress up like June Cleaver to vacuum?
No, I dress more like Donna Reed. Doesn't everyone vacuum in pearls and heals?

I don't vacuum in pearls and heels, but if I ever vacuumed, I might.  Nah, I wouldn't.

Good Morning!

20 degrees with snow on the ground here. We've finally got some sun peeking through and the wind is gone. I've been talking to my son in California, and he is in light jacket. He said the people who live there are dressed up like they are going on an artic expedition.
