This one too!
I love that one

Now they have that stupid Michelin tire ad, with all the animals getting smushed on a bad road. Made me so mad the day after Thanksgiving when they were showing it I called up to complain. I saw later there were more people than me upset about it. Here is the link.

Wow, I never saw that commercial before! Kinda sick I think! I think they could have come up with a better way to get the point across? That's a bit morbid, never saw it on tv though.

I saw it first on Black Friday, a really bad day since all the kids were out of school. I was really stunned by their bad taste. I couldn't get in touch with the home office, since it was a holiday for them. So I called the only other number I saw, and that was a sales number to direct you to a nearest location. After I told her my complaint, she read me a prepared statement from the home office about the commercial. Either they knew ahead of time, people would be upset, or they had a lot more complaints than mine. It was running on Fox News, but I never saw it again until the other day. I saw it on a channel where my husband was watching JERRY SPRINGER. (Yes, he lovers Jerry! ) And that was the only time since.

Hi,
I had this all gone and then lost power, So will try again. They other day when Teyve wrote about doing 360's on the ice I received this email. I had to laugh because it made me think of you Teyve. Hope I don't hurt anyones feelings.

SLIPPERY ROADS

WINTER STATISTIC

98% of Americans say  "  OH SH*T"  Before going into a Ditch on a Slippery Road.
The other 2 % are from Michigan & Illinois. They say " Hold my Beer and Watch This"

Obviously, that was written by someone in Ohio who only knows the drivers of SE lower Michigan...where 1" of snow is enough to close schools. Up here, we're a more hardy bunch. Right before we take our foot off the brake (that got us into trouble in the first place) we yell "oh F*CK! Kids, lean center NOW!" and then when the 360 is complete, we say "report, kids" and wait for the "I'm Ok. that was fun, do it again mom!"

Oh, wait, I see your quote was for going into the ditch. Same applies about SE lower MI, but up here, we don't go into the ditch. If we do happen to find ourselves on the side of the road, we slow down, wait for the 4 wheel drive to kick in, and just keep driving. Sure, every now and then we have to stop and tow some poor schmuck from Detroit out of the ditch...but WE never go into the ditch. We go 4-wheelin' a lot!
(OMG, you should see what we keep in our cars...just in case. That explains why I have no problem in Alaska..prepare for the worst, then drive like hell!)

Do you know where Mancelona is?

Good Morning!

20 degrees with snow on the ground here. We've finally got some sun peeking through and the wind is gone. I've been talking to my son in California, and he is in light jacket. He said the people who live there are dressed up like they are going on an artic expedition.
We have friends who live in Florida and when it is 50 they have their coats on similar to what we put on at 10 above  Heck at 50 degrees we still have windows open some days
Heck yeah, us too. 50 degrees is "airing out weather" around here...in the springtime. Now,it's 19 out, supposed to go lower. I have decided to not go anywhere today. Haven't yet vacuumed, but have done some laundry. I think I need a nap!!
Hi Tevye - I was going to send you a shout out earlier - I am glad to see you!  Good for you - stay in and enjoy yourself at home and hey don't knock yourself out over anything you don't feel like doing - it is going to be a cold weekend as well so if you can pace yourself.
If the roads stay bad, Grandson #2 won't be able to go downstate, so he can come over and spend the night. We have to watch "Prep & Landing" and a new Harry Potter movie. Also, gotta get the manger out. Which means I have some gifts to wrap and hide before he gets here. I will do that tomorrow or maybe tonight...if I'm rested.

Hello everybody! It's soo cold, I wanted to stay in bed!

JSM, I read you got a new laptop! I've been thinking lately about getting a bigger one. I bought the Acer netbook in April, and even tho I'm happy with it, it doesn't have the dvd burner in it. I'm just not sure what kind to get. The Acer tho is perfect as it fits in my purse and has a 6 hour battery. So I was just wondering what yours is, and if you're happy with it?

Northern, I wanted to tell you that your chicken recipe the other day was delicious! I made it with chicken breasts, and it was so juicy! I am so glad that I tried it! Am definitely going to use it again. Thank you!  Hope you get to feeling better! an angelic monkey

Hope everyone has a nice day!
Hey Gizzie, I am so behind having to work. Y'all are having fun. I got a Toshiba and that is all I know about it. It is faster than fast on the internet. I love it. I screw up typing and Josef kicks me off the couch, but other than that it is wonderful.

Dear JSM's Boss;

Please lay off on the work! You are seriously interrupting JSM's monkey time. Previous studies have shown that a happy JSM is a more productive JSM. So, really, it's in your best interest to lighten her load.

Oh, and about the smoking nazi security guards? Could you shove some mistletoe up their noses and tell them to be on the lookout for guns and such?

Thanks so much, and Merry Christmas!

Babybear, the JonBenet Ramsey forums were wild, they still are, but not quite like they use to be. That is sure one of the more interesting cases I have ever followed.

I No rose   They were wild but a lot of fun until the really bad fighting started--remember Bridgett and "Burned to the bone?"  I never bought that. I haven't been to a JonBenet forum for a long time and I never did decide:  Was it Patsy?  Was it John?  Was it Burke? Was it Fleet? Was it a stranger?  I just don't know.
