QM...I am not ignoring you either, trying to do some housework in spurts and read along when I sit to rest the bad back.

Thanks darla!  I was just wondering where everyone was, I felt so alone. I'm gonna go make some dinner. Maybe Fanny will be back by the time I come back later. JSM, I do miss you too. Maybe you can get Miss Mae to come back.
Thanks monkeys! BBL

QM - not ignoring you .  I had to go meet the school bus, shovel a bit and now get youngest dinner and ready for his Christmas concert.  As I said before, I LOVE your smiley's.    I managed to keep some Gravol down but now I want a nap.

QM - keep posting your cute smileys.

I'm wrapping presents and cooking dinner.

Hey Sassy I can't wait to get wrapping - I love to wrap presents - do you have your Christmas music on and all the lights in the village?

Actually, I've been wrapping all afternoon but I was watching court TV shows like Judge Jean Pirro and Judge Alex.

Good for you we need to learn some things about court before KC's trial and those shows are actually very informative - I have learned a thing or two from watching Judge Judy when she was on here.

JSM Back in 1996, when JonBenet Ramsey was murdered, Dan Trevino started a forum about it.  Those days were wild.  The Boulder News had a forum where you could sign in with a different name every time and have discussions with yourself and it was really crazy, but fun.  A group called Red Hot Chili Peppers (Not the rock band, but as I recall, something to do with molesting hamsters) hacked it from time to time. A person who called itself Jameson was there and told tales about how his wife was killed during a high speed chase on the autobahn.  Turned out Jameson was a woman who became friends with the Ramseys.  Somehow or other this person Jameson was sort of partnered with a woman from North George and they had a falling out so they split, one becoming Websleuths and one becoming Webbsleuths. The Boulder News forum folded after one too many complaints. Dan Trevino had a group of interesting people, there was a poster who called herself Mrs. Brady who would post urls to all the sites of the day that mentioned JonBenet.  She might still be posting on the "Secret Forum", I don't know.  I know that several of them are still posting.  Anyway, Dan Trevino eventually didn't have time to continue as webmaster, so he gave it to someone who continued it. Can't recall her name.  Then this person wanted to go to school to be a vet tech as I recall, but I might be wrong about the school,   so she had a sort of contest and the winner got it, but then they had a falling out and somehow Trisha ended up with it and Trisha also ended up with Websleuths.  I can't recall the name of the first forum that evolved from Dan Trevino's forum. But it's like a big "Secret." Tricia became very restrictive at Websleuths and for some reason AOL members couldn't join. I was a member before Trishia got it and I never joined it after Trisha got it, but I recognize a number of members from the old Dan Trevino site there.  Unless Tricia banned herself, it is some kind of joke or it's been hacked.

If you ask me about Cybersleuths, that's an even longer story. A story about an abandoned forum which was confiscated by a poster and...well, it's for another time.

I've been around forums for a very long time.
Wow Babybear. Thanks for this info and forum history. I never knew forums existed until Caylee went missing. I don't even think I had internet when JonBenet went missing.

Good morning JSM.  Trisha's post jogged my memory.  the "Secret" forum is FFJ Forums for Justice which I believe was the name of the Trevino forum.  I was on the internet in 1996 because it was shortly after my husband died and my doctor told me to either get another husband or get on the internet.  I chose the internet.
Thanks Baby for the info. I'm sorry about your husband,  an angelic monkey I am glad you chose the internet instead of a new husband.

I chose the Internet also....I call my lappy...BOB.. (boyfriend on batteries)

I started out with four houses back in 1994.    I tried to buy a few pieces each year.   Before long, I had a room full!       Some were gifts from the kids.

That has to be the best I've seen, and I can see why you leave it up all year long, nice to enjoy in the summer I bet when it is hot, and you can go look at the village and pretend it is Christmas. That's cool.

I bought my cards but somehow I always end up doing them at the last minute.
That is probably what I hate most - because it is so time consuming trying to write personal messages in each one.
I always celebrate when they're done!

You know what I really like about it?    It is so peaceful.   Everyone in the village is happy.   Its like a dream world.    Silly, right?  But with all the crime, etc., its nice to pretend there is peace in the world.
