Hey No Rose. I wasn't expecting it, as the economy has been down so I am very greatful. I hope Zoe and you are doing well. Go to bed and get some rest. I am not feeling that great in the belly situation right now. I think my lunch didn't sit well with me today. 

I'm sorry, sure hope you feel better, maybe some alka seltzer. We are fine, it is raining, and just waiting for it to let up to go out with her.

Poor Zoe, Josef loves to go out in the rain as well. I don't know why. He is back iniside chewing his feet.    I hope the rain stops soon so she can go outside.

Does Josef have allergies and that is why he chews his feet. Zoe starts chewing on her leg at times, with little nibbles, does that for awhile and then licks her leg. It drives me crazy. Maybe they pick things up from the grass when they go for a walk? I have medicine for her to apply to the spot that itches, but when she sees me coming with the ointment she freaks out

Yes he has allergies and also does it I think to annoy me. When it gets really bad he gets benadryl, but usually that is just spring/summer. I have pictures of his back legs that would gross you out when his allergies got so bad. He had to wear a cone on his head during the day and night to keep from biting. Joe freaks out because it is spray I give to him, but it wasn't as bad this summer. I think I got a handle on it sooner than later.  Now it is time to give him his heartworm pill, that is not going to be fun at all.

Those heartworm pills use to be some ugly looking meat chunk, and Zoe loved them. Now it is a pill and I have to hide it in peanut butter. I know how bad the allergies can get, and how they can chew until it is almost raw

I have to shove it down his throat and give it with food. You are right, they will chew until raw and his poor legs so awful. I didn't know how bad until they had to shave the backs of his legs. I felt like a real POS doggy mom then.

I took a 5 hour nap (stayed up all night last night) after the hearing, and I am still trying to get over that speech! Man o man.

Our Bandit (Australian cattle dog/mystery dad) had, for the last 5 years of her life, hotspots on her one leg. The only thing that ever worked was taking one of DH's tall socks, cutting slits in the sides, and putting the sock over her leg, tying it over her rotund back. It did work, but we could tell she was SO embarrassed we stopped doing it. We tried lotions and potions, pills and herbs. The vet explained that for her, licking those spots was like smoking a cig...highly addictive. So, we just took care to make sure the spots didn't get infected, and left her alone. We figured us picking on her about her weight was bad enough!
