I'm so excited!!   

I've looked for this "lost recipe" for almost 15 years! I found it today!!!    That's what you get for living in the same house for 20 years!     I got something stuck in a drawer and had to take the drawer out, and there it was!! This is a WONDERFUL dish and I'm going to share so if I ever loose it again, you guys can give it back to me!!   

Fruit Dessert Salad

Layer 1
1 Box Lemon Jello
1 Box Orange Jello
3 Bananas
1 Lg Can Crushed Pineapple Drained (save juice)
1 Small Can pineapple juice
2 C Hot water
1 ½ C Cold Water
1 pkg. minature marshmallows

Layer 2
2 eggs
5 Tblsp flour
1 C Sugar

Layer 3
2 Pkg Dream Whip
1 8 oz. pkg. Cream Cheese (softened)
1 3 oz. pkg. Cream Cheese (softened)
1 C. milk

Coconut ( for sprinkling on top ) Maraschino Cherries for top (optional)

Step One/Layer One:
Combine jello(s) in large (10x14) casserole and dissolve with water. Pour drained pineapple into it. Slice bananas on top, and top bananas with marshmallows. Refrigerate to set.

Step Two/Layer Two:
Combine pineapple juice from drained pineapple with additional juice to equal 2 cups. Combine juice, sugar, flour and eggs in saucepan and cook over medium heat until thick. Cool and spread over set layer one, (on top of marshmallows).

Step Three/Layer three:
Mix Dream Whip and milk. Add cream cheese and mix with electric mixer until whipped. Spread on top of layer two.

Generously sprinkle shredded coconut as final layer. Place cherries (optional)

* You can make the first layer and finish the dish the following day. Be sure to use a large dish as this makes enough to serve a lot of people! Enjoy!

Stag : an adult male red deer; also : the male of various other deer (especially genus Cervus)

Buck: adult male deer, usually sporting a rack of horns. The bigger the rack (more points), the bigger the bragging rights.

so, there's really no difference. Although, I suspect there are regional variations. I suspect in England they call a stag what we would call a buck (or I would call some damn fine stew!) 

Thanks Tevye, I didn't know the difference. I told my friend about my nephew's deer he got today and I didn't know what it was called. I remember Trimm saying she saw a spike and I didn't know that was a deer. So I guess a 10 point isn't a spike.  I am very confused about deer hunting.

Aw thanks.   I would love to visit Pigeon Forge.    It is really pretty there, isn't it?   Its on my bucket list.

I love Dolly Parton !!

The mountains are very beautiful and there are a lot of shows and shopping.  Dollywood is beautifully decorated for Christmas with thousands of lights as is all of Pigeon Forge.  And the streets are really crowded now with Christmas shoppers.  We don't have a lot of snow, but they make snow for skiers at the lodge overlooking Gatlinburg, about 5 miles.  We did have about two inches, very unusual for this time of year, on Monday. On the other side of the mountains, in NC, there is usually lots of snow in the winter, but the mountains protect this side. I was at a small hotel in Wales and the owner was so excited that I was from Pigeon Forge because he loves Dolly too.  You should come sometime.   

I definitely have to plan a trip there.  I think it would only take one day of driving to get there - and that drive would be a pretty one!

Max in his younger years guarding one of the holes he dug.  He was a digger for many years hiding all his stashes of food for later.

NORTHERN ROSE  Max was a beautiful dog.  His face is so pretty.  He looks like a dog in a Jack London novel should look.   It is so sad when we lose our fur babies.  They really are a part of our family.  I am an old lady and have lost a number of dogs in my life, and each was special, each had a different personality, and I loved every one.  My idea of heaven is that all the dogs I ever loved will run to greet me.

CBB I have a neighbor who owns several hotels in PF and he bought two Shar Peis.  Paid a lot of money for them.  They have no wrinkles.  It's so funny, they race around their fence and bark and they look like two hairless somethings. They act like they don't know they are ridiculous looking.

I sure love that idea  I have lost a few dogs and one cat, and it is awful, it is like losing a family member, they are a family member. I get physically ill when I see people not treating their animals like one of the family, leave them outside in the cold and rain, and the animal will do anything for attention
