I will have to ask my neighbor Nancy about calling animal control, never thought to do that. I'm use to the coyotes howling at night and in the field, but this is getting dangerous the way they are now roaming more and more.
I would call animal control. They will probably trap them and send them to another part of the woods. At least that is what they do here. Now when I lived in the country, it was a different story. PETA even got pizzed at the neighbors down the street because of the coyotes hanging on the fence posts. I guess I should have called PETA and let them pay for Josef's 5,000 dollar vet bill from the coyotes attacking him.
I remember you saying that happened to Josef  an angelic monkey And I was thinking that the coyote might not come after Zoe and me, but since Josef got attacked I guess I'm wrong. Poor Josef  an angelic monkey

OMG I am shaking. I have the balcony door open and some guy was running down the driveway hollering for someone to call an ambulance, so there were some guys down there that called. I hollered at the guy what is wrong, he said his sister is having a heart attack. I asked if he needed me to come do CPR and he said yes. So I ran down and up to his apartment. The ambulance got there about 2 minutes after I did. She wasn't having a heart attack thank God because my CPR certification is so out of date. I told her she was having anxiety attack and just to breathe. Then the cops showed up and I left, I have already had one of my ML tonight. I didn't think they needed me, so I skeedattled.  Monkey Devil!
an angelic monkey Wow, I'm glad you were there to tell her that. That was very thoughtful of you to do that, my CPR certification is way, way out of date.

Friends of ours from Chicago flew down to Virginia yesterday for a 60th surprise birthday party...they are snowed in, party got canceled and they are not booking any flights out of Virginia...friends were supposed to fly back home tomorrow as they are expecting company to fly in to Chicago to their house on Monday! Now they don't know if they will even be home by then! They said that they have not seen so much snow even here in Illinois so it must be bad down there!
thinking of ya Brandi!

I agree, Cookie.  I bake breads and such, but I don't decorate.  I'm just in awe of those that are artistically inclined

Yes, they have to get home for their company, and I guess that would be the way to go, but that is going to be treacherous for awhile driving. A storm is heading towards the Midwest I saw on the news.

She is wonderful at decorating cakes  If I got a beautiful cake like that I wouldn't want to eat it, but I bet they are delicious.

Same here.  I've never gotten a custom cake like Monken makes.  I wouldn't want to cut into it either, even after pictures.     But you know, I do like cake, so just maybe....

They usually are afraid of people, but if you are seeing them in your neighborhood, the it is possible someone could be feeding them and they are becoming used to people. They are still wild animals to be afraid of and if they are hungry they will go after anything. With Josef, what I was told is they get a female in heat to get a male dog come after her, then the pack attacks the male that is trying to mate with the female. I don't know if that is true, but it does make sense since Josef wasn't totally "fixed" at the time he was attacked. I think the other two dogs we had are the ones that saved him.

I just didn't know what to do to help the guy he was freaking out so bad, and I do remember CPR, not much but enough. When I got in the apartment and saw she was very very young I thought maybe it was an asthma attack, but she said she didn't have asthma, so I knew it was a panic attack. She scared me though, but once I got her to breathe, she was doing much better.

OMG - I just got back from the most excruciatingly painful 3 hours of my life. My two little nieces (3 year old twins) had a dance recital tonight. I do not expect kids that age to do much on stage but even the adults and teens were HORRIBLE. It was just awful. It was painful - they had singers that could not carry a tune, some strange dance type things - I really thought I was watching an audition for America's got talent - ya know, the part where they show all the funny auditions. Good thing the little kids were so cute. <<<<insert emoticon hitting head with hammer over and over and over>>>>>>

Hey Muffy thanks for the link to Monken's cakes! They are so beautiful. I wish I could do something like that. If I did, I would eat all the icing before the cake was out of the oven.

Let's have a new cage, if you don't mind. I have been behind tonight. Hope you have all your shopping done.
