The idea of the wind up flashlight for the 91 yr. old is great. I bought mine at Costco last year.. two in a pack. Keep one in the car, one in the purse, one bedside and one by the front door. Not a bright light; but could be helpful and makes good stocking stuffers. Do forget to wind them periodically tho.
A good site for preparedness (and I am behind in that vs. previously) is
http://www. beprepared.com out of Utah. They have a great catalog. Recommend it for all homes, cars, plus condos assoc. etc. for natual disaster and terriorism. Easier said than done!
Calendula Off. 1x Homeopathic Ointment "Minor Skin Irritations" on pkg.
I have used it on a root canal and had steak afterwards. Used it in eye cuts on humans and dogs, on burns, cuts, boils, dry skin on animals and people, creaping-crude things you get in the woods
Comes in a container like a screw-top cottage cheese... both large and small containers. I keep one in the car for emergencies and one in the home.
another good thing, actually is a must is
Arnica Lotion... it is made of Arnica (daisies in an alcohol base so won't ferment)
Used on over-used muscles, back pain, ankle sprains, thumbs in doors or under a hammer, bruises, sunburn, black eyes but not on cuts or open sores... Calendula is for that. Smell goes away in seconds. (get the Lotion in the brown bottle, not the gel)
Both of these products keep going up in price; I started using them in 1973 so guess I get sticker-shocked. Containers will last for years.
http://www.allbusiness.com/north-america/united-states-california-metro-areas/153605-1.htmlhttp://www.smhomeopathic.com/I have shopped there since the mid=seventies. Don't think their online site is the greatest compared to their store. Have large in=store staff; extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Parking on the street.
Use goggle and call your local health store; they may have it. Walgreens carries the Homeopathic flu stuff that begins with an "O" and has lots of syllables. Great and works!
Since I am on a roll.. I have Fibromyaglia and some think it's from exposure to chemicals (maybe since the sprayed our locations before we's arrived and Gulf War Syndr. is like Fibro; the ones that wore flea collars next to their skin came down with GWS more that those that wore flea collars on top of their shirt leaves)
Anyway, I comb my pets for fleas and use a
flea trap from
http://planetnatural.com. It looks like a flying saucer; has a night light in it with sticky paper (refills) in the bottom. The fleas are attracted to white light night light and jump in there and get stuck. Sometimes I get a fly or two and a moth.
OK love you all am back to cocooning. IBE
