Not sure where Sander is but I believe the parents and Koen are currently still in Georgia.

I tend to agree with viet vet.  I don't think Paulus died of natural causes.  I think he was taken out.
He had become a liability with the new gov't in place.  JMO

not to disagree Mags - but how many people get taken out in broad daylight during a tennis match?

I guess the way I see it is like this - Joran is still holding the bag and he's not even on the island. I know Paulus was involved. I'm sure. But in an effort to improve tourism - locking up Joran and the Kalpoe trash is the way to lure stoopid Americans back. For most people who have no followed this story - it's Joran killed her or sold her in a a sex slave thing. Paulus is rarely mentioned. I could however see whacking him for other enterprises that he was probably involved with - but that's usually a dark room and a bullet to the back of the head and a trip out to sea.

I'm not really sure that removing Paulus really matters that much - anyone?

It is fine to disagree with me!!  Your theorys are usually well thought out.  I don't know a thing about
people being whacked....except what I see on 48 Hours or something.

I just have a feeling about Paulus'  death.  Not much to go on for sure.
I feel like he is just the first to go.

He was never, ever going to talk, the story had died down, and Joran was tucked away off the island. If some of the cover-up was to protect Paulus or to "favor" him, then his death would tend to put a crack in the silence, if anything, IMO.

Now........... had Joran recently been running his mouth, or Paulus had died shortly after the DeVries video, I might wonder if Paulus hadn't been sacrificed to send a message to Joran to keep his mouth shut.

Still, keeping Joran's mouth shut is most effective by silencing Joran himself.

one other point. I know there are those that are saying - well, there goes the case and it went to the grave with Paulus. Well, if that was true, he belonged behind bars more than we all thought. In my opinion, there are many other people that know what happened to Natalee - and it wasn't only known to Paulus.

For all intensive purposes the cases has been over for years. Nothing has happened and well, it's time to release everything ... including the dutch interrogations of the suspects. You know the ones - where Beth said they were all turning on each other.

No one is going to jail and the case is long past over - there hasn't been any investigation into this case in years no matter what Mos and others have said.

In an effort - a good faith effort, it's time to release all the info and let the record stand on it's own. I have hope that the truth will come out some day, but I won't hold my breath and you know the old saying - we know what we know. Nothing is going to change my mind about what I know about Natalee, Joran, the cover-up and the island of Aruba.

In a final offer of peace I believe and feel in my heart that the area around Arashi beach should be renamed Natalee bay or something similar and her memory will live on and she deserves that - especially from people who did so much to tear her down.

What if someone poisoned Paulus. There are some choline type drugs that produce death just like a heart attack. Maybe some of his pals think it is time to cover up the story forever. Or maybe one of his gangster friends is collecting an old debt. Joran could be next or even Anita. That Aruba is a strange place, best all tourists stay away….like forever. The boycott goes on. Never go to the Island of Death.

maybe he wasn't very well liked - I think it's possible that most people are happy he's gone and view him and his son as destroying the island and their livelihoods. They did their share and more than others - but Aruba has many problems and they're not the only two to assault and murder a tourist - they just got caught.
