According to the document I posted Deepak claims to have gone to this school in 2004.  I don't think that is Sander G.

I agree.  Our hearts are in seeking justice for Natalee.  If she doesn't get the justice she deserves I at least want her body returned to her family if possible.  I don't want her final resting place to be on the POS island.

The way I comprehend ...

IF the Phil McGraw recording was not manipulated and ... that is proven when professionally compared with the Skeeters' hard drive ... why would any case documents be required?  Deepak defamed himself in the interview.  Case Closed?

However ... the request of case documents from Aruba does makes sense IF the Phil McGraw recording was deceptively manipulated to imply that Deepak stated he had sex with Natalee.  McGraw's attorney would then have to prove that Deepak had not been defamed by the manipulation.

I don't believe so.  The case is not just about the authenticity of the tape.  It is also about Deepak not giving permission to air it.  If it is established that Deepak was ALREADY a public figure BEFORE the airing then Dr. Phil didn't need permission. That is part of the anti slap rulings. IIRC  Private persons have more protections than "public" persons.  If you want to prove someone is a public figure, you need to show the prevailing opinion BEFORE the airing.

You have it exactly right. By merely GIVING the recorded interview to Skeeters -- he implicitly became a "public person". However, that interview was jus an ADDITIONAL factor. The Kalpoes had already been ARRESTED for this crime -- that alone made them "public figures". They already had a "public persona" waaaaay before Dr. Phil came along.

At what point does this become a "frivolous" lawsuit and  the judge put them out of their misery?  It just doesn't make sense to allow them to continue on without some kind of sanctions against them for not complying with the orders of the court.

I've wondered the same.  I hope very soon but I have to admit I'd much rather see a jury trial and those to dimwits on the stand.

Totally agree Klaas.  I have to admit though that I would just love to have there case files turned over to the court so Beth and Dave could get their hands on them.  Having them on the stand would be a plus also but I don't EVER see that happening.  They are being supported in this lawsuit by Aruba (probably AHATA?, tourism) and they would never want these nitwits to take the stand.  Their boat would be sunk then.  You are right though, the Kalpoes and Aruba thought Dr. Phil would settle out of court before now and their backs are against the wall.
