Yes, Angie, I got to have my mother another Christmas which at her age is something!  She is still a very beautiful woman and looks no where near her age but did have to have pacemaker replaced a couple of weeks ago.  

But as for gifts, nothing special and two kids are still students so always broke and from them I get only hugs and a card but am thankful they are both well and staying in school even when it is difficult for them.

I got four 90 phone cards for cell phone, coffees and expresso maker, money (as I am always running short---cha-ching!) gift certificate for dog supplies, and small items like gloves, socks and pretty silk scarf.  But nothing big or important this year.  

I think I am at the phase in life where I am trying to reduce possessions instead of add to them.  After first of the year first son will have larger house and I hope to encourage him to take some of the things and especially his own as I seem to be some sort of storage facility for all three of them.   Wink

 I feel the same about my Grandmother as you do your mom.   The phone cards and all your other gifts sound splendid~!!
AND I do know how you feel about neing a storage unti.. LOL
My daughter has alot of her things here  yet since she got married.
Even boxes in a closet of things she takes to flea markets to sell. ughhh!
 Ummm.. I just realized.. I still have some of my things at my parents..LOL

Santa was good.. got mainly $$ and a few real cute things from Amanda and Jason. (she got me a really cute Boyds Bear lamp) I collect Boyds Bears.. Smile  My mother got me one too.. its adorable..  (guess I still have a bit of kid in me)

Was surprised the Zoo Cam is working today.  Looks as though they have put down strips of that kind of tape to prevent slipping to help her learn to walk and get those chubby back legs to working.   Very Happy

ANNA, did you see the latest AHATA Newsletter where they are bemoaning the fact that Aruba's crime is being reported instantly on the internet?  Who do you think they are referring to?   Wink

No, I did NOT see that!   Shocked Well, now there's a clue as to why so many hits, lol.

Probably makes it ever so much harder to lie and say they have no crime.  Well, I need to check that out.  Very interesting and I am just so sorry but this is the information age.

News of the crime in this country and other is reported instantly on the internet as well, just the way it works.   Wink

Thanks for the tip, have not seen that!

Thank you for that info, wow that has to make msmarples and anna feel really good, much less Klaas and Red and Tom . Nothing like being the thorn in the side of AHATA - wooohooo !!

Angie I didn't know about the baker bears, how sweet and I'm glad you had a good xmas.

Things are getting busy again here with family and neices and nephew, so hope everyone has a great end to their day !
