I have never met anyone famous, I don't think.  I guess that makes me a plain Jane among the many here.
You are just as special. He came to a College here at Kutztown University, somehow, I got a ticket. The city passed out too many tickets and the next day the newspaper showed disappointed College students (who Clinton  REALLY  came to see) outside holding tickets in the air. Some of them never got inside as it was over crowded. I felt very bad when I became aware of that.

Famous people I have met...

As far as I am concerned, Beth, Dave and Robin qualify. They are famous for being the kind of people they are... determined, brave, filled with faith and hope amidst their personal grief.
You met all of them, now THAT is impressive!

Tyler, if I recall correctly, Loretta Young's daughter was fully grown before she knew she was her Mom's and Clark Gable's real daughter.

I think her name is Judy Lewis, and she acted on General Hospital maybe in the late 70s/early 80s.

That's what I Recall too and with all the cloak and dagger stuff in Hollywood, makes me wonder if perhaps Jane was pregnant yet again by Reagan when he met Nancy.  I think Nancy was a very pretty and elegant lady but I liked Jane Wyman a whole lot more.

That's what I remember also.  She was older when she found out.

I think you are right.  Some of you here know it and others do not but I did work for a bunch of politicians at one time in my long life and through that, had occasion to meet many politicians and it means nothing.  As my DH says, "he puts on his pants the same way I put mine on."

I thought Loretta Young had the most beautiful eyes and teeth.  She had that theatre thing on TV when I was a little girl and I always loved to see her program come on.  I thought Jane Wyman could have been as good an actress as Joan Crawford, had she had the political pull.

Yes I thought Loretta Young had beautiful eyes also.  I never liked Joan Crawford she scared the crap out of me.  Especially when she starred in that movie with Betty Davis.

I love Ronald Reagan.  Although he could be very aloof at times, he could be very much the grandaddy type as well.  It is amazing that some of the politicians who the press hates so much are some of the ones that were the nicest.  Some of the ones the press idolizes are nothing but womanizers and snakes.  Strange world we live in.

She was involved with Laura ~ maybe an adoptive parent or something like that?  I'll see if I can find it on the GH website.

Tyler ~ Speaking of Jane Wyman, one Christmas when I was probably around 12 or 13, I saw a movie with Van Johnson and her (on tv), called Miracle in the Rain........I was crying so hard at the end....my chest was just killing me.  An obscure movie that was so sad.
