Not ben introduced Tyler, but I have seen 3 Presidents in person, Reagan, Bush peres, and Bush fils, all of whom I have greatly admired and supported.

I love Ronald Reagan.  Although he could be very aloof at times, he could be very much the grandaddy type as well.  It is amazing that some of the politicians who the press hates so much are some of the ones that were the nicest.  Some of the ones the press idolizes are nothing but womanizers and snakes.  Strange world we live in.

I know better than to get too far into politics, but I only hope to live to see another President with what he brought to the office.

Tyler, if I recall correctly, Loretta Young's daughter was fully grown before she knew she was her Mom's and Clark Gable's real daughter.

I think her name is Judy Lewis, and she acted on General Hospital maybe in the late 70s/early 80s.

Yes she did act on GH.

I thought Loretta Young had the most beautiful eyes and teeth.  She had that theatre thing on TV when I was a little girl and I always loved to see her program come on.  I thought Jane Wyman could have been as good an actress as Joan Crawford, had she had the political pull.

Yes I thought Loretta Young had beautiful eyes also.  I never liked Joan Crawford she scared the crap out of me.  Especially when she starred in that movie with Betty Davis.

I think she was just as mean as that movie depicted her, if "Mommie Dearest" is anywhere near truthful.  I did like Jane Wyman, and thought she was a good actress.  Could have been a Meryl Streep with half a chance.

Do you remember the character's name?

She was involved with Laura ~ maybe an adoptive parent or something like that?  I'll see if I can find it on the GH website.

Tyler ~ Speaking of Jane Wyman, one Christmas when I was probably around 12 or 13, I saw a movie with Van Johnson and her (on tv), called Miracle in the Rain........I was crying so hard at the end....my chest was just killing me.  An obscure movie that was so sad.

I remember that movie.  I thought she was sensational.  Van Johnson, oh my.  I had forgotten that.

Elaine ~ here's what I found: Judy Lewis played Barbara Vining in the late-'70s, however, as a close friend of Gloria Monty, was asked to be her assistant, and stayed until 1980.

OMG!  Tylergal.  That is my all time favorite oldie.  I love, love, love that movie.  It's just wonderful.  Bring tons of tissue, it's way beyond a tearjerker. Trust me.

Night, Lala's.  Hope to see you tomorrow and hope tomorrow will bring Beth some news.  I hope and trust it will be good news.  Wear your special Elton John glasses and disguise yourself and we will tango.  Maybe.  We have not done that in way too long.

I thought about you and I said a little prayer for you, CBB, me and all our monkey friends, and even those who never share their problems.  I suspect we all have them.  I am glad you felt you could share with us.  Even with all our warts, we are a big happy monkey family.

Elaine ~ go to this website: http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0507395/bio
Very interesting ~ I'd forgotten about Loretta Young hiding her daughter's large Clark Gable-like ears in bonnets!
Lala's ~ I've tried for years to find that movie again ~ keep thinking it will show up on Amazon or eBay, but it probably wasn't ever put on a tape  Crying or Very sad
