The link is to Turner Classic Movies. I've bought several there. Read the synopsis. Is it the right one?

1. Miracle in the Rain (1956)
Black and White
A fanciful, O. Henryesque tale set in New York City during World War II. A shy, lonely woman and a dashing soldier from Tennessee meet in the rain late one afternoon, and end up falling in love. But Fate threatens to come between them.
107 or 110 mins.

She looks like both of them, Elaine! Apparently she was the only child Gable ever knew. His son was born after his death. Loretta Young only admitted the relationship and parenthood after her death in a posthumous autobiography.

There was something that was just so romantic about GIs meeting the perfect woman on their leave from the service, returning to the war, writing letters and then returning home to each other or not.  That World War II era was just such a sad time for so many thousands and thousands of Americans lost in a war, but what a good outcome and great movies as a result of it.

Love the "look", Hotshot!

There are New Year Avatars in the Lounge if anyone wants one. There are all kinds of them on the web, too.

They are rewriting history on TV again, saying Ford lost the election because he pardoned Nixon.  He lost because that nut Rockefeller was his VP.  No one liked Rockefeller, not even his wife.

Just a drive by on the way to the Monkey Bunkey and wanted to say all the New Years finery looks very festive!  Didn't take us long to get
in the party mood!

Only wish in real life all the decorations were so well put away, sigh!

The greatest art always comes from adversity, it seems. I think that everytime I hear an old spiritual.
The letters that survive from the Civil War are shear poetry.

Hotshots,
I have been getting the debug mode on this site for the last couple
of days as well.  Hope it is not a bad omen or anything.   Confused

It is better but had to delete all the cookies and defrag and work on
a few of my own computer settings.
