Does it appear that there are fibers stuck to the knife?  Could they be from the tape?

It looks like it to me....I mentioned it earlier............and IIRC this is steak knife......not a 'case' knife as CA first stated

WFTV says it won’t retract report that the defense team called ‘this fabrication’

Casey Anthony's defense team wants a retraction from WFTV-Channel 9.

The station says no way.

Jose Baez's spokeswoman said WFTV's Kathi Belich was wrong when she reported this week that Baez "faxed copies of his motion for a change of venue to some reporters before he ever filed it with the
court."

Baez spokeswoman Marti Mackenzie fired off an e-mail to the station: "Please retract this fabrication that you reported.
Let us know when you plan to retract your report."

"We're not going to retract it," WFTV news director Bob Jordan told me. "Faxed or handed. Makes no difference how it was transmitted. What matters is that it was transmitted to reporters."

WDBO Local News
Casey Anthony defense team spokeswoman resigns

As prosecutors released hundreds of new photos in the case against Casey Anthony, the spokeswoman working with her defense team has abruptly resigned from the case.

Marti Mackenzie, a well-known public relations specialist who also worked for the team representing former astronaut Lisa Nowak in her battery case, sent an email Tuesday morning announcing the move.

"Effective today, I will no longer be a media liaison for the Casey Anthony defense team," Mackenzie wrote.

The new contact for the defense team was listed as Liz Brown from the Depaul University College of Law Legal Clinic. No reason is given for the resignation, but Depaul is also the university where Casey Anthony's death penalty qualified attorney, Andrea Lyon, teaches as a professor.

Thanks trim. uummmmmmmmmmmmmm looks like AL is circling the wagons.......SHE is now in control of the new media liaison...........hand picked by AL and where does that leave JB.......uummmmm I wonder.............just a thought mind you...but could AL be trying to get rid of JB too?  Remember how his visits to KC have dwindled dramatically.............ummmmmmmmmmmmm

Just a feeling I have...JB wouldn't be got rid of unless he wanted to be got rid of. His ego is too huge to skulk out of the spotlight unless he knew he would look even more of a big fat failure by staying. He may just want out period! It's very edifying to see the rats are finally deserting the sinking ship Baez...

Good Afternoon Monkeys and Guest!

In the first 70 pics that were posted first in pic number 19 you could clearly see the outline that the investigators were talking about. The one that looks like a body outline. It is the first time I could clearly see it.
My heart just breaks at what little Caylee had to endure in those last hours.

Darla can you or someone post the picture you are referring to?  I don't think I am seeing the same photo as you are.

Casey Anthony: Released photos show Caylee in T-shirt
Caylee and Casey Anthony, Marti Mackenzie, WESH, WFTV, WKMG — posted by halboedeker on February, 16 2010 12:31 PM

Photographs released this morning in the Casey Anthony case were a major story on noon newscasts.

There are six photographs of Caylee Anthony wearing a T-shirt with the words “big trouble comes in small packages.” WFTV-Channel 9’s Kathi Belich said it’s “the same kind of shirt found tattered at the scene with Caylee’s remains, the same pink shirt investigators believe Caylee was wearing the day she disappeared.”

Casey Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of Caylee.

WFTV also noted that the latest documents contained the station’s discovery of “rare, industrial duct tape” found on a Caylee poster the family put up. Similar tape was found with the toddler’s remains.

Belich said the pages released in the case number now 12,419.

WFTV anchor Vanessa Echols reported that public-relations expert Marti McKenzie was quitting the defense team, but “she didn’t say why she was leaving.”

On WKMG-Channel 6, Mike DeForest said the documents revealed that “the FBI was unable to create many scientific links between the crime scene and the Anthonys’ home or Casey Anthony’s car.” The station promised more details on its 6 p.m. news.

WESH-Channel 2 highlighted the “key evidence photos” released today, especially those about the trunk liner of Casey Anthony’s car and the duct tape removed from the child’s skull.

Here's a poll on The CayleeDaily....

Which do you think is the Strongest Evidence against Casey Anthony?

    * Her signature 'heart sticker' on the duct tape that she also put on her pictures as in the States Evidence (3.0%, 342 Votes)
    * Waiting 31 days before reporting Caylee was missing (29.0%, 3,235 Votes)
    * Casey's actions after Caylee went missing (14.0%, 1,499 Votes)
    * Placing Caylee's body so 'close to home' (2.0%, 244 Votes)
    * The human decomposition tests showing a dead body was in the trunk of Casey's car (52.0%, 5,675 Votes)

Total Voters: 10,995
My vote was in the 52%...

there was also decomp on the paper towels from the trunk..........

they can try to 'coincidence or junk science' the chloroform all they want...but they can't 'coincidence or junk science' the decomp.

Sorry, but what documents has he seen?? Manuals on procedures?  This doc dump hasn't shown anything like that IMO.  I'm disappointed there weren't more docs.  Maybe there will be more docs to come today.  I guess we'll wait and see what the h*ll he's talking about.

One link is all it would take to convince me. There was a lot of time and a lot of deterioration during that time. We are used to seeing a lot of damning things, IMO they are no less damning because every single piece can't be scientifically linked, but common sense tells us things like same brand tape, knife from home (not 100% sure on that one), matching laundry hamper etc.  There's a lot of evidence that points ONLY at kc, she's gonna  get convicted. Positive thinking!

I agree and I have a hard time believing that there are no links - what about the Winnie the Pooh Blanket, and I have to believe there is a duct tape connection and garbage bag connection.

Mission ~ agree with you. There are a lot of things that squarely point only at kc and her household items. The defense can try to throw out absurd theories of various others slipping in and using the A's things for some outlandish conspiracy/revenge killing but there's not one shred of evidence that is viable to support that. People are not dumb, long before forensics were here, people could take the available known facts and render a judgement because of the accumulated volumne of evidence. I really believe that will happen here regardless of what bizarro spin team crazy try to put on it.
