Judge Stan Strickland today adjudicated guilt on six of 13 felony counts against Casey Anthony in her check-fraud case. He withheld adjudication on the seven other counts.

“I’ve done what I thought is fair based on what I know,” Strickland said.

Anthony will be a convicted felon when her murder trial starts this summer.

I find it rather amusing that Bia$$ is so reluctant to setting a trial date, it just proves all the more that they have not got a clue how they are even going to defend her yet.  I mean seriously she has been in jail with the charges of murder etc for how many months now?  15 months?

Casey Anthony takes plea deal in check fraud charges

Casey Anthony took a plea deal in court Monday on check fraud charges.

Anthony, 23, was charged with 13 check fraud charges after prosecutors say she stole her friend Amy Huizenga’s checkbook and wrote checks to purchase hundreds of dollars worth of items at a Target store and a Winn Dixie grocery store.

Circuit Judge Stan Strickland found her guilty on six counts and withheld adjudication on seven counts. He then sentenced Anthony to 412 days time served in jail, as well as one year's supervised probation if she is ever released. Prosecutors had asked for five years in prison for the check
fraud charges.

Anthony spoke in court and apolgized to Amy Huizenga and then broke down in tears.

Anthony remains locked up in the Orange County Jail on first degree murder charges related to the death of her daughter Caylee. Anthony has pleaded not guilty on charges that she killed the 2-year-old Caylee Marie, claiming a babysitter kidnapped her toddler. Caylee was last seen in June of 2008, but she was not reported missing until a month later. Her remains were found in woods near the family's home in December. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty in Caylee's slaying.

Me too- his first complaint today focused on the fact that she is being treated differently to other criminals that come before the court charged with the same crimes..
And yet everyday we see the reports of trials of people who were charged way after she was, already convicted and jailed. You can't have it both ways Baez, get on with the Murder trial, just like everyone else does.

Baez elicted plenty of great looks in the courtroom today!  First of a look of incredulous stupidity by Lyons... then the priceless look by the Judge.  That look seemed like it could have killed Baez like a bug caught on a bug zapper!

I agree W.O. he does want it boths ways. He cries boo hoo for KC and himself. He thinks she's a special defendent, and should be treated specially! Makes me sick! The word I bolded above, I thought it said animals!

Ok, so she is now a convicted felon for her murder trial but Baez is still stalling and whining about not getting everything requested from prosecution. Still no trial date set. uggg
