To your credit, The News Leader has published three letters exposing this fraud, but letters don't carry as much influence as an in-depth news story on the front page. Your readers deserve better.

Now going further, the idea of regulating the amount of CO2 produced by industry and either selling their excess credits or assessing for excess production, cap and trade, is not intended to reduce CO2 emissions; it is a way for big government to control industry and thereby have greater control over the economy and the people. So is the Global Conference on Climate Change taking place in Copenhagen; this is a fraud perpetrated by those globalists who want to have more control over the world economy and by that more control over all the people.

The average temperature of the Earth may be changing over geologic time... We know from geologic historical evidence that the climate of the Earth has gone through dramatic changes or cycles, otherwise how could we mine coal in Montana? Coal comes from decaying tropical plants and the fossil evidence supports this, but mankind did not cause it. Climate change cycles have occurred naturally over hundreds of millions of years and will continue to occur naturally; we did not cause them, and we will not cause them in the future.

What global control over CO2 emissions will cause is a global socialist government controlling the global economy and industry run by a few ultra rich globalist personalities like George Soros, or a dysfunctional organization like the United Nations.

Of course we should try to conserve fuel consumption and develop better technology so we have cleaner more efficient energy sources. That’s just good business. But signing on to a world treaty that will ultimately control our energy production and industries in the United States is not in the best interest of Americans.
