Hi Muffy I am kind of running between threads. Hope your Christmas was wonderful.

The long nap did wonders....this getting old business is for the birds. lol

Now the added sorrow of another child gone to soon at the hands of an evil monster. Just breaks my heart. I just can't seem to get enough hugs from my seven. I want to hide them all away so that nothing bad ever happens to one of them.

Going to go look at Christmas lights to get the mind off of these horrible crimes for awhile. Little Sarah and what happened to her and being found on Christmas is just too much, the little one should be enjoying the fun of Christmas. And now this incident that happened on the plane  and what could have happened, makes a person ill to think of it.

NRCG....So very sad about lil Sarah. I think they should turn these pervs over to the public and just be done messing with them. But Oh I forgot...he has more rights  than lil Sarah did. I just can't think of a punishment bad enough for them. Maybe cut their sex organs off and shove them down their throats til they strangle to death. What in Heavens name do these sick sob's see in a child to make them do this when there  are women who just give it away. Leave the babies alone for God's sake.

I have some thoughts also what should be done with these monsters, but I don't think taking them out back and shooting them would ever happen. I don't know what else they can do to stop these people, they can't be cured so why waste time with them.  Maybe someday this country will take different steps to keep these people behind bars permanently, not give them some kind of ridiculous therapy that doesn't work, and then set them out to do it again.

I hope all is going well so far JSM    I'm just sick over Sarah, and now this beautiful little girl in Arizona, when I saw a picture of her with her lovely red hair and smile, she so reminds me of one of the neighbor girls with red hair and a sweet smile. I pray they find her safe. I've just about have had enough of this horrible news for the day, I'm going to watch Keeping Up Appearances in a little while.

Hi No Rose, it is going awful. We were supposed to be in Amarillo tonight. We are stuck in Wichita Falls and it took us four hours to get here. I don't know what is going to happen tomorrow. My sister's husband and my nephew are wanting to turn back around but I said that would be pretty crappy of them because not only did my parents give us the trip, they gave a HUGE wad of cash to each of us to spend on this trip. Then we spent another 3 hours in a loud sports bar trying to eat, but there was only one cook and finally when the rest of the food came out, we took it to go. 

I hate that Sara was found deceased and I will try and catch up with the other missing little girl.

Also about the airplane, didn't the goverment come out and say the last time on that one flight that people were calling a dry run, wasn't an act of terrorism? Hmmmm.... methinks it was and there will be more to come. 

Have a good evening watching Keeping up Appearance. I love Richard.

I'm sorry that the trip is not going too well. I'm sure your parents spent a great deal of money for the vacation, so I sure hope things get better. I sure hope nobody turns around and goes home, that wouldn't be good especially for your parents. Hopefully after a good night's sleep tomorrow will turn out better and you will get there and have fun  My thoughts are with you. I love Richard also

Thanks No Rose, just say a prayer that the ice melts and we can make it to Colorado tomorrow. That is all I am hoping for or at least make it half way.

Popping in to wish all the Monkeys a Merry Christmas.

Went to my Mom's yesterday afternoon and the roads were horrid.  A SUV in front of us lost control and went straight across 3 lanes of traffic causing chaos and a 8 car pile up.  We were not involved but have no clue how we remained unscathed.  I was bracing for the crash that was happening around us in slow motion.  I was begging hubby to turn around and go home but he pressed on after we stopped and called 911 along with almost everyone else on the highway.  We got to my Mom's over 1 hour late for dinner.  I was a bag of nerves and could not eat.  She made me ginger tea to calm me down and I stayed in the kitchen and did dishes while the kids and hubby ate.  The older boys had both made it there before the pile up which I was grateful for. 

After I was calmer kids, opened presents and we had dessert, the trip home was a white knuckler but not as bad as the trip there.

Cooked dinner today and it was such a wonderful day.  Older boys came over later than expected as they got here at 1:00p.m. but it all worked out.  Santa brings a new game for the family to play every year and this year it is a card game called Apples to Apples.  After dinner we played it for almost two hours and what hoot!  Desserts were laid out on the table, fire was going and I had all my children and my Mom here for a wonderfully relaxing evening full of good food and lots of laughs.  I feel like I could roll to bed now.

Riley snuck up on the table and licked the topping off of a lemon slice dessert and I am sure he will be regretting it.  I have to keep him away from the fire in case his butt turns into a flame thrower.

Northern. How awful I hope no one was hurt and most glad you and your family weren't injured. We have seen probably 100 cars today stuck on the side of the road. Even a snowplow had skidded out and was not working.  Thank God for my laptop. I watched Braveheart and then some figure skating on the way here, we only made it about 80 miles I think and finally found a hotel that had room at the inn. Nobody down here knows how to drive in this mess and I was just glad I was in the back seat not watching the road.

  Sorry, that is funny about Riley, if his butt is anything like Josef's I would get him away from the fire PDQ. Hope you had a Merry Christmas and glad you got home safely.

JSM sorry to hear your trip is turning into a Chevy Chase movie.  There were many hurt in the accident yesterday but lots of others there to help immediately.  I can not even count how many cars we saw in the ditch that lost control and being up here you would think people would understand how to drive.  The roads were really bad, ice under a light dusting of fresh snow.

Your trip will get better!  I don't know if you saw the post I left you a few days ago about skating.  Hope you saw it.

JSM - yesterday a friend of my daughters came over to stay with us as there was an emergency in her family.  We got her settled in and I thought I could get stuff ready for Christmas but her and my daughter as so close that they feed off each other's energy and start giggling and running and being silly. I took them tobogganing for 1 hour figuring the up and down the hill would wear some of their energy out.  After dinner they were recharged and bouncing off the walls. At 9:30 I told them to get dressed we were going skating so out they go and we were skating till 11:00pm in the dark.  I thought of you  as I know you would have loved how peaceful it was skating under the stars as it was snowing with the only sound to be heard were the girls screaming and giggling and the coyotes howling.  You would have enjoyed it once you got over the fact is was -20.

Northern, I am so sorry there were peopler hurt in the accident. Luckily most people here drive about 10 mph so no one has been hurt, they are calling out the National Guard to pick people up that have their cars in the ditch. I'm sorry I have been so behind about the skating. Can you repost it, I'm about to lose power and my power cord is still in the car. I have just about decided the way our luck is going, I doubt I will get on the ice because I will probably fall in and drown.

Just returned home from our Christmas dinner out and seeing Sherlock Holmes (which I kept falling asleep during).

Sad to hear more maliciousness was happening while we were celebrating our quiet little Christmas.  Got to catch up now.

  -20. OMG, we are freaking out with it being just 20 outside. I am so glad they had fun. I guess they are used to it. Coyotes? I thought y'all had wolves and polar bears.  It gets dark so early up there doesn't it, so they were outside in the dark forever. That sounds like so much fun for them. When does the curling start? They are starting a spring curling league this year and I may try and do that depending on the finances. It is amazing how curling has become such a big sport at my rink. Ex pat Canadians make up most of the teams, but there are a lot of Texans that have embraced the sport. I can't wait until the Olympics! I think I will have cable by then and take the two weeks off just so I can watch curling, skating, hockey and bobsledding. That is the one thing I want to do before I go to the great beyond. Go to Lake Placid and ride the bobsled.

Night Monkeys. Praryers for all missing children and Sarah and for the monkeys having a great Christmas. I am going to try and go to bed. Hope you have a good one. Gotta go out side and get my plug. Please if you don't mind, pray we reach our destination tomorrow because I don't want my mom disappointed. She even said I was on my best behavior in the car today. And I went with no cigarette for 80 miles and didn't miss it. (at the time, by the time we got to the hotel I shivered and shaked coateless in order to have a ciggie.
