Just returned home from our Christmas dinner out and seeing Sherlock Holmes (which I kept falling asleep during).

Sad to hear more maliciousness was happening while we were celebrating our quiet little Christmas.  Got to catch up now.

Glad you had a good time tonight. They found the little girl in AZ she was safe and unharmed Thank the Lord. We went to friends in Decatur for dinner but left early as not to have to drive on the icy roads. Going over it was fine the roads were wet but coming home they were starting to freeze.

Hi Green Eyes... glad you are safe and had a nice time tonight.  I was glad to see the little girl in AZ was a Christmas miracle and found safe!  I am up too late now!  LOL.  Going to get some shuteye now.  I have to get up tomorrow and do some baking for our famly Christmas feast on Sunday... LOL.... our Christmas celebration is just getting revved up.

Night Monkeys. Praryers for all missing children and Sarah and for the monkeys having a great Christmas. I am going to try and go to bed. Hope you have a good one. Gotta go out side and get my plug. Please if you don't mind, pray we reach our destination tomorrow because I don't want my mom disappointed. She even said I was on my best behavior in the car today. And I went with no cigarette for 80 miles and didn't miss it. (at the time, by the time we got to the hotel I shivered and shaked coateless in order to have a ciggie. 

Prayer for JSM & Crew:

Dear God;
Please let JSM and her family make it safely to their destination. Please remind her to take her power cord when she packs up her stuff this morning. Please let whoever is driving channel their inner Northerner and know how to drive in winter weather.  And, please let them stop every now and then for a smoke break! Also, God, if you could make sure they arrive at their destination without a dead aunt on the roof, or a dead deer on the hood, that would be great. Oh, and as long as I'm asking, please please please let JSM get cable before the Olympics! Quite a few of us are counting on watching them with her!

Tevye. Thanks for the Prayer to God. We are getting ready to leave, so I am going put my computer in the bag with all the cords, pop a xanax drink some coffee and get some breakfast. BUT first I am getting a ciggy. See ya monkeys in the morning. Have a great one. Thanks for the prayers.

Hope you had a good dinner. I'm a huge fan of the old Sherlock Holmes movies with Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce  I've been watching some this morning. I'm not a fan of new movies, my husband is trying to find someone to go to that movie Avatar, and I just rolled my eyes and told him he has to be kidding if he thinks I'm sitting through that. I told him even if you tied me to the movie house chair, I would gnaw my way out of the ropes. I hate fantasy type of movies. I tried to read Lord of the Rings because he loves that stuff, one page and the book flew

I only turned on the TV after our kids left. We had a great time with them, my granddaughter loved her highchair! She eventually took the dolly out and sat herself in it! It was so cute! And my grandson loved....not the microscope, not the solar system model, not the Lego Indiana Jones Crystal Skull palace...but the Harry Potter book and movie (#3) and the Hogwart's Griffendorf (?) scarf I'm knitting him! He's only 5, so he can't read, but he borrows my Harry Potter books all the time and takes them everywhere. Now that's my kind of kid!

Well duh ! and darn cat here is the story.

In Texas, volunteer firefighters and sheriff's deputies rescued hundreds of people stranded along Interstate 44 and Texas State Highway 287 near Wichita Falls. The area recorded up to 13 inches of snow, said Doug Speheger, a National Weather Service meteorologist.

"It's really been horrible," Wichita County Sheriff David Duke said. "Although we live in north Texas and get a lot of cold weather, we weren't prepared for the significant amount of snow that we've received."

Only two of the sheriff department's vehicles have four-wheel drive, so rescuers used their own pickups and the heavy 5-ton brush trucks normally used to fight fires to get to motorists, many of whom ran out of gas while they were stuck in traffic stalled by the storm.

"It was exciting at first to wake up and go, 'Oh, this will be great. We'll have a white Christmas,'" Wichita Falls Mayor Lanham Lyne said. "Then it kept snowing. As the roads became impassable, then we started to worry."
