I went with my daughter and her 3 kids to see RV with Robin Williams. She bought all the tickets and drinks and popcorn for everyone and it was almost $70 . Just dang ridiculous. I remember when it cost a dime to get in the theater. You could buy all kinds of snacks and get into the movie with a $1.00

That's beautiful Northern, that is about what it looked like with all the snow we have had today. I bought some waterproof boots so we could go sledding. That was fun, but a lot of work.

I don't remember it being a dime, but for a double feature and a bunch of candy it sure didn't cost anything near what it does now

We'll wait too.  We only go to the movies twice a year and always to the Matinee.  We won't go again until the 4th of July, unless Grandma takes us! 

I do want to see that movie though & Bubba's such a football nut.  It's good for him to see some of the good hearted things in football instead of all the Michael Vick/Ray Lewis kind of BS.

At one time when i was growing up we had a movie theater and a drive in movie theater. But they are long gone. It cost a dime to get in the walk in and $2.00 per car at the drive-in lol. I am older than dirt.

Going to the drive-in was the best. We use to take a car load of us teenagers that was so fun

Morning Greeneyes. I hope you are doing better today.  an angelic monkey I know you still must be hurting. Hope the weather is not bad today. My sister and her family are driving home today.

The weather isn't bad at all. They should have no problems driving home. Yesterdays snow is gone they say we should be about 50 today. Yeah !
Dang sorry you wont get to go skiing this trip.


Glad the weather is good there. I really wanted to go skiing, but the roads were bad and my mom started to freak out. Hopefully someday I will get to go again before I get too old.  Monkey Devil!

We still have one and it's only $5.00 per car.  You can bring your own popcorn (and not that microwave bs either) and drinks.  They play new movies too, but you have to be able to stay awake.  That's my problem!

When my oldest grandson was really little we would be looking through my photo albums and he kept talking about me living in the old country. Could not figure for the life of me what he meant. So one day I asked him what he was talking about. He says Grandma you know when you lived in the old country before there was color. Bless his heart he thought everything in the world was black and white.
