 Who Superbowl Concert Could Stir Controversy

(RTTNews) - Several groups dedicated to fighting child pornography have come out against having the Who play at the next Superbowl halftime show.

In 2003, guitarist Pete Townshend admitted he had downloaded child porn to his computer, though he claimed it was part of research he was doing to help stop the practice.

With the Who set to play the Superbowl, representatives of a group called Protect our Children and of another one known as Child AbuseWatch have warned that the show might stir controversy.
"People tune in from all over the world and they are going to get a British sex offender on their screen. Townshend taking the stage at the Super Bowl is offensive to victims. We are incensed," Kevin Gillick, president of Protect our Children, told the U.K.'s Guardian newspaper.

The NFL has responded in a letter, pointing out that Townshend has never faced criminal charges in regards to the matter.

If for some reason they survive that ,then we'll let Nut play hang man with them.

OMG I laughed when I read this.  JSM I would love to take a postion but being a Canadian not sure you would want me on your GOVT.

I love number 10 expecting a medal for doing a little housework - if and that is a big if my husband ever does any housework he puffs up his chest and toots his horn but little does he know I usually have to redo what he did cuz it wasn't anywhere near right. 

Northern Rose we finished dinner a short time ago - FANTASTIC beef stew and biscuits, my husband loves it!!  I am so thrilled because I have never gotten that dish to taste right or be of the right consistency it is one of those that I scratched my head over many times and just gave up on it - I have finally done it!!!!!  I can't thank you enough for posting that recipe.  Perfect day for it too as our high was only 10 today.

I have a amazing pulled pork recipe that you do in your crock pot as well.  Serve on buns add salad and dinner is done!  Let me know if you want the recipe.

I always liked The Who and have seen them. But they are too old and ugly now to be rocking out, though I'm sure they still can, and besides there are only two original members, and the controversy isn't going to be worth it. Roger Daltry has not aged well

I forgot, when I am president, I want Northern to be my Canadian Ambassador. I know I can't appoint her, but I will invade the Northern Border until they let Tevye back in and Northern the Ambassador.

I will pardon Tevye or just make her record disappear  , then find the hunky Mountie that gave Tevye a hard time and stash a stash in his undies and put him on a plane to Amsterdam.  They are implementing the body scans over there as of today so when he tries to fly home they will ask him if that is his package or is he happy to see them.

  Sorry Lovin, I answered, but don't know how to bump posts, here is what I think about the firing. 

IDK, I just found out by a text from my friend that I skate with on my way skiing. I think if it wasn't Craig James' kid, it wouldnt have been a big deal. But I don't know all the details because I basically have been on a desert island of bomber's underpants on Fox and crazy family members fighting. I really think Tech was trying to get out of his contract, because it took so long for them to agree with it earlier this year. I know that a lot of Tech alumni are going to be really pizzed off. Oh well, Leach is smart and can always go back to lawyering. Or become a pirate.

  And I want to enforce my favorite from Archie Bunker. Everyone going on a plane is handed a gun, and when you get off the plane you hand the gun back  Now I'm contemplating The Who playing at the Super Bowl, and the controversy surrounding Pete Townsend and the child pornography charges around 2003

He said he was using it for like investigation or something like that. I always thought it was a big fat lie.  It was a big deal back then when the story broke.

OMG! I can't believe I'm a cooking idiot!

Cheapest cut I can find that is on sale.  The crock pot makes it melt in your mouth so no need to buy a good cut of meat.  Chuck, round or flank ususally.  I never but the pre-cut packages of stew meat though.  Round steaks or a small chuck roast that I cube usually.
