JSM That was so great of your mom.  Obviously she sacrificed a lot for this trip and I think she loves you a lot. Your step-dad sound like a terrific guy, too. 
I hope you have a safe trip home and a good time with your family on the way. 

Yeah, what Baby said! I bet, in the end, you'll remember the trip fondly. I want to hear about the train ride.

Okay here you go with some pics, we rode two something hours up a mountain and stopped for 45 minutes then went back down. It was cold as crap in the heated car, but I sucked it up to go and take pictures in the open window car.

Popped back in to see if JSM was back.  Glad to hear you had a good trip.  Sorry your brother is sick.  Maybe he ate something that did not agree with him in the altitude?  I have little bathroom cups with seashells as the motif if you guys want to borrow them for the wine.

Going out in a bit now that the Moon has moved to get some pics of the northern lights.

Northern, I bet the moon is beautiful there, it is gorgeous here. They are having a midnight cross country ski thing tonight. If we weren't leaving tommorow, I would have gone with our guide tonight. Plus he was cute. My mom had some medicine for him, so he feels a bit better. I think it was the hot dog he ate on the way back. I had one for breakfast and it didn't bother me at all. I think really he got motion sick because the train rocked back and forth. 

Tonight is a "blue moon". It's called that when we get two full moons in one calendar month. Tidbit for the day!

They were talking about that on the news tonight.  Blue moons are rare on New Years eve.  Last blue moon on new years eve was 1990.   Next one is not till 2028.

I will make sure my parents at least let me get black eyed peas tomorrow and hopefully cabbage. If I have to eat them straight out of the can and find a cold can of sauerkraut I will eat it.

Oh, hell to the no! The young miss (1.5) is in there just chattering away, so darn funny. Her older brother keeps telling her to hush, then they start laughing and I start laughing...and changing diapers. Seems Papa doesn't know how to attend to a child once they've been put to bed...THIS ISSUE WILL BE ADDRESSED TOMORROW AFTERNOON!

The grands aren't used to sleeping in the same room, but they're so darn pleasant! Not any crying, just chattering away. Man, she's all girl!! Now she's doing the trick I taught her with flipping her lips....DH and I are listening in on the baby monitor from across the hall, we can hear big brother snickering....oiy...I think it's gonna be a long night!

I have my 7 yr old girl here tonight. She is a girly drama QUEEN! They have been so much fun tonight, but when they got warm after shooting fireworks they were out like a light. Courtney is in to all the glitz and glamour and just cracks me up with some of her expression. She will throw up her left hand to her brother and tell him to talk to the hand as she is not listening..
