JSM That was so great of your mom.  Obviously she sacrificed a lot for this trip and I think she loves you a lot. Your step-dad sound like a terrific guy, too.

 it sounds like your step dad is a peach and I am glad that you stuck out the trip even when you weren't so happy..I am sure that it meant a lot to your mom..she probably wanted everyone to have fun and she probably enjoyed having you and your brother with her and spending time with you .....it was sweet of her to pay for this trip for everyone...xxxxxxx

No temp, but I do feel like I have a Ripple hangover! The young miss does not sleep quietly! But it was fun, this am I fed them and then DH had to change poopy  diapers and entertain them while I took a bummer phone call. They're gone, and I'm heading to bed shortly!

Tevye , glad your fever is down. Sorry you feel so crappy. My two lil one's went to sleep on the couch so I just covered them up and went to bed. Ended up with both of them in the bed with me. Queen bed does not hold three people comfortably so I ended up on the couch about 5 this morning. But we had a blast before they knocked out on me.
Wish I still had some baby one's, they grow up so fast.

Great New Years Eve. Came back and there were still some guys in the hole drinking Ripple.  Had the nerve to put my lawn chairs down there in the "Wine Cellar."  I brought them some beef jerky and that and some beanie weenies made it a party, so I joined them. 

Happy New Year, guys.  Have lots of fun today.  Pork is a'roasting and bread pudding in the oven.  IMO eating black eyed peas is bad luck in itself, but I have some.  Cole slaw, too.  Not taking any chances.

Those kids might have worn you out, but oh what a good time you had!!!! Hope you feel better soon.  I just couldn't bring myself to eat even one black eyed pea although I did serve them, along with some kind of green stuff I wouldn't eat either.  But I did eat some pork and mashed potatoes and bread pudding with whipped cream. About a million and a half calories. 

We skipped the Ripple with dinner, though.   Enough was enough!!
