Digger.......turkey watching.He went outside and I think the turkeys got after him because he came back really fast.   
The turkeys were raised in a pen and the owner decided to turn them lose.WTF?They are very pretty in real life.
JSM,I hope Josef gets to feeling better.He can come and bird watch with Digger.   
I'll check back in a little while.I am putting primer on the walls in part of my kitchen.

I do too! I can just see the little wheels in his brain turning, figuring out how he can get those stupid turkeys! He knows turkey is a holiday dinner, and wouldn't Mom be proud if he supplied supper?

awwwww.... I used to have a doxie... we lost our Heide 2 years ago... and haven't had the heart to get another pet since.... yours is gorgeous.... love the gaze!

Not a very good picture, but these are the Housi (geese) Josef loves to chase at home. I thought they were gone, I haven't seen them in a while.

Bananas when I grew up we had a doxie named Heidi also  Digger looks so intense, he definitely wants to catch you a turkey  Josef looks cool in his sailor suit  It will be a cold day in he!! when I go back to Costco again, 153 bucks later, my stress level is out the roof, and I bought a container of pretzels that is as tall as Zoe

No Rose, 153 bucks is nothing compared to what I spend at Sams for our doctors and their chocolate. We ususally spend around $500 dollars on nuts, sodas, but most of it goes towards bags of chocolates. I have no use to go to Sams or Costco, because it is all in bulk and I don't have the room for 20 rolls of papertowels.  Hope you enjoy the pretzels, dunk them in chocolate they will be very tast.

  They do look great. Some of the stuff in bulk is okay for us, but a jar of mayonnaise the size of my head just won't do. They have some interesting stuff there, I did notice chocolate, and containers of nuts that would go stale by the time they are eaten, but didn't get any. The pretzels are my husbands, I don't usually eat pretzels, unless I use the cheese in the can and dip them in it  We are going to Dennys, I feel like some french toast, just what I need

Mayo the size of your head. You crack me up. Have fun at Denny's, french toast sounds wonderful. I think I will have chips and hotsause and queso. Josef is asleep, not acting normal, I just pray he is tired and nothing is wrong with him. My brother and his gf picked their dogs up last night and it cost $50 extra to get them on New Years day. Crazy. Had I picked up Josef when I got home at 12:08 pm, no charge because it was 1-2-2010

  Great it is supposed to get really cold this week. I thought I was rid of cold weather.

  BBL, going to take Josef out one more time tonight. I think he may be getting arthritis because he acts like it hurts to get up off the floor and jump on the bed. He is probably just fooling me, because he has no problem chasing cats or geese.

It is ok... that is what happens.  We lost our cat just a year before that.  Both Heide and Kiddles were both quite old.  I have a fish now.  Is the only pet I have gotten.  He is a beautiful blue and red betta named Fernando and I am about to lose him now.  Guess they only live a couple of years or so, I got him right after we lost Heide.  We aren't going to get anymore pets because we want to be able to pick up and travel now whenever we want.  I have lost a few pets over the years as I have always had them since I was just a little old kid.  Hopefully we will see Heide and Kiddles in heaven some day.

Really?  We inherited her and she was already old.  My daughter was dating a boy and his grandpa had Heide.  She had been his deceased wife's dog.  When I visited over there, Heide and I fell in love with each other and he gave her to me to care for.  She was a joy to us for several years. Her name fit her perfectly cuz whenever she went to bed, she would burrow under her blanket and HIDE.  She was a good dog.

Heide had arthritis too AND an enlarged heart because she was so overweight.  She was almost dragging the ground when we got her.  I used to take her to the walking track with me and she lost some of it but she was always a fat dog.  Everyone thought Heide was a hoot just trotting along beside me and her big belly almost on the ground.  She was on meds for the arthritis and it did help.  Even with her arthritis, she loved to chase the squirrels at the park but she could never even get close to catching them... they really would just tease her by running up and down the tree trunk just above her head.

I know it happens, but it is so sad and I don't know what I would do without my evil dog. He is the first pet I have had that was truly my own. He was there for me when my grandmother passed away, he had more sympathy than the guy I was dating had at the time. I understand not having pets if you are wanting to travel. FYI, my nephew had a beta and my sister told him he could get a dog when the beta passed away. The beta lived for 4 years. I swear my sister kept changing out the fish so the little guy wouldn't get a dog.

I'm sorry about Heide having the enlarged heart. My nephew has a weenie dog that is overweight. Thank God he was because he was hit by a car and the fat around his belly kept his vital organs safe.

 Josef was a fatty when I moved into my apartments. It took a vet to tell me that if I kept giving him hotdogs, burgers and pizza he wouldn't live another year. He had a fatty liver, luckily his heart was fine because he had heartworms at one time. He went on a diet, I walked him 45 minutes every morning. Now he is thin and I am fat. I am going to ask th vet if he thinks he has arthritis or is just a lazy azz. I think it is more lazy, than it is arthritis.

LOL LOL LOL  never would have thought of that one.... good excuse for her not getting him a dog.  And I have heard many of the bettas live past 2 or 3 years but the average is 2 to 3 years.  Mine is having trouble swimming up to eat now so I know it is just a matter of time.  I have had a few of them over the years too.  I love them... they are so beautiful.

I think doxies just have a tendency to be fat anyways... most of the ones I have seen are somewhat overweight.  They are some of the most loving dogs I have ever had as a friend!  I had one who was part doxie when I was just a kid and he was a wonderfully loving dog too.  In fact, I remember him being there for me whenever I needed a friend to cry with.

Hi everyone and Happy New Year!  Gotta do a clothes/season change for my Zoe.  Haven't been on in weeks!   I've been reading only for a day or so and fianlly logged in tonight to say hi......if its not a sore subject, where is Fannie Mae these days?

Our first doxie Gretchen was overweight, so when my parents got Heidi, she was kept on a strict diet so that didn't happen to her. Zoe has arthritis, even though she chases things as well, sometimes she has trouble jumping and going up the steps, but she is on medicine that has helped her. I guess with anyone getting older arthritis seems to be something that is unfortunately there.
