Merry Christmas Eve everyone! 

I had to go to the airport last night to pick up arriving out of town family from NY.  Delay, delay, delay.  Did not get home & in bed unitl 2:45am.  Now I've got to figure out how to get Bubba's bike (from Santa) from the neighbors after he goes to bed without noticing & stay awake long enough to stuff the stockings!

Praying for all of you who have loved ones missing from your table this Christmas and asking God to give you strength to carry on.

I'm sorry that happened, hope your Christmas Eve and Christmas is filled with fun memories, Bubba's going to love his new bike 

Bubba always spends Christmas Day with his dad so Christmas Eve is our time.  He's with my mom right now baking cookies.  Later I'll go over there for dinner.  Then we go to the family service at church and to a party that friends throw every year.  We're going to have a great time (if I can stay awake!)

That sounds like a great time. One year when I was 16 I wanted a sky blue 10 speed bike, we always celebrated opening presents on Christmas Eve, and after all the presents were opened, I saw that I didn't get the bike. A little while latter my mom asked me to get something from the basement and there was my bike. I loved that bike, I have many memories of taking off and riding through the State Park, I was always on that bike. I even rode the bike on occasion in the winter in Wisconsin  Tonight we are going to the Olive Garden, and then tomorrow just the three of us here, my older daughter and her husband are going with his family to visit his grandma in Las Vegas. Have a great night tonight.

That sounds good, and supper tomorrow sounds great. My mom always made hamburgers in gravy for Christmas Eve and a whole lot of snacks. I wish that I could get in the mood for all this, but memories cloud my thoughts.  Have a great Christmas Eve

  Merry Christmas to all my SM family and my prayers are that everyone will have a healthy and prosperous new year, those who are battling cancer may be healed, those missing loved ones will be granted their prayers and their loved ones found, those seeking jobs find one and those whose hearts are broken from the loss of a loved one find a measure of peace that will allow them to move forward and find solace in the memory of those they lost, and finally prayers for our troops overseas and that God keeps them safe until so they will be reunited with their families that miss them so much. Thanks to everyone who was there for me during our loss of Eli and my son's deployment to Iraq. Love you all

What Recession? 'Obama Winter White House' $9 Million Hawaii Estate at $4000 Per Night

Barack Obama will be spending ten days over Christmas and New Year's at a $8.9 million estate in Hawaii at a rate of at least $4000 per night, according to ABC News. Obama spent last Christmas there as well when he was president-elect.
As the American people are still caught in the grips of the recession with unemployment running from 10% to 16% and the federal budget blown out with Obama's massive deficit spending, Obama is living like a king with no criticism from the mainstream media.
ABC describes the estate with no mention of the incongruence of Obama's extravagance with the wrecked Christmases of tens of millions of Americans one year in to his failing presidency:
The Obamas' rental property is 7,000 square feet of paradise on the southeastern coast of the island, complete with large open spaces built around a lagoon pool.
It's also not cheap. Staying in this $8.9 million house, which Zimel has dubbed the "Obama Winter White House," will cost around $4,000 a night. The two houses next door will be occupied by Obama family members and friends.
While ABC News ignores Obama's 'Let them eat cake' attitude, the New York Daily News flat out lies for Obama on his self-indulgent Christmas:
With so many Americans hurting, the White House is smart enough to know that they don’t want to flaunt their good fortunes on those who are without...The First Family heads to Hawaii tomorrow for a well-deserved tropical Christmas.
