  Look at Digger.
I just had to put him on tonight.

Going back to work in the kitchen.See you monkeys in the morning.   an angelic monkey
Digger is adorble in his fancy hat!! Have fun in the kitchen  Monkey Devil!

Good grief,I could scream.Just say no to wallpaper border.   Monkey Devil! I have high ceilings and my step ladder is not quite high enough.Big ladder is in hubby's shop and he isn't home yet.I am not going outside now.    No telling what is lurking around out there.I got one wall stripped and primed.    I will be taking pain meds by tomorrow afternoon.
I was moving my Grandfather clock around to get it out of the way and I found a letter that my son had written to my Granddaughter and myself back in 2003,while he was living in another part of the state.I had stuck it up there and forgot about it.I sat down in the floor, wallpaper bits scattered all around me and cried as I read it.There were 2 pictures that he had drawn and I just lost it.Having a pity party in the kitchen floor. I must have look like a crazy woman.
Then I come here and look at all the pretty avis and it does a monkey good.   an angelic monkey I feel much better now.
I'll see you all in the morning.Gotta get some more work done.
an angelic monkey Trimm, I am sorry you had a pity party last night. I can only imagine the pain in your heart as you read that letter. I hope you get the wallpaper up today.

Nut Thanks    for posting that article on Domina and Shabalin. They are my faves in ice dance. He is so hawt, but that makeup he has on is pretty scary. I can't wait to see them skate. Hopefully it is up on youtube.

OK, I am so weird that I think your price tag should say $1.98.

I am also so weird (as are my sisters) that we frequently pull the Goodwill tag off a new clothing item as we gather for some function or other. For my BIL's memorial, I WILL NOT WEAR BLACK! I learned back in 4th grade, in Arizona, that Mexicans wear either white or red for funerals, and that's been my MO ever since. I choose to celebrate the person's entrance into heaven, not the sorrow that we are left with. I have to remind myself that death is not about how we choose to deal with it (that makes it all about me, and I hate that!) but that death is a rebirth for the deceased. (I also can make all my brothers and sisters laugh during a funeral by reminding them that one of our grandmothers now has a new person to chase around heaven with either a cast-iron fry pan (the farm gramma) or a broom (the city gramma).

Once I understood that all the crying and such is an expression of sorrow for ourselves, for we will miss the person who died, it made it much easier to accept death. Of course, I have not experienced the death of a child, grandchild or spouse. For those, all my preconceptions will be off. Hell, I will be off! I will just check into the nearest mental ward. I hope what I've said doesn't offend any monkeys who have lost a child or spouse. You have my ultimate sympathy, and respect. I don't know how you carry on, as I can't picture myself carrying on.

(Whoa, dude, I am such a bummer these days! I think I need a shower and to get outta this house. Why, I think buying a new TV will help my mood considerably!)

Tevye, my daughter and her husband live rather close to a big cemetery, it is primarily Mexican and a lot buried there are young. For Christmas they decorate the trees with ornaments, have decorated trees by the headstones and they celebrate Christmas and holidays with their loved ones that are buried there. On the weekends during the year there are blankets laid out and they have picnics with their loved ones. I have never seen anything like that in my life, at first I didn't know what to think, but now I think it is wonderful that they can celebrate like that at the cemetery.  an angelic monkey

Good Evening Monkeys !

I got my new memory into my computer all by myself. I am so proud of me. Just cleaning the dust out of the motherboard probably did wonders.

I was just listening to Charlotte news, a POS raped a little girl a couple of days ago. He was found shot to death in his home. The little girl's Dad is in jail. I hope he does not have to serve time . This should be a classic case of temporary insanity or a crime of passion . At least the POS ( who was an RSO ) won't be hurting anymore children.
I hope he gets an insanity plea. If I were on the jury, Dad would be let off. Why was the RSO out on the streets after the rape of the little girl?

Tevye, I like your attitude about the funeral being a celebration and laughed my azz off about the granmas chasing around heaven with brooms and frying pans.

I hope you get your tv today!

Well, Tevye, I flipped the tag around for you so you can see the price. And, yes, apparently the price read 198 although I never could read it when I saw her on TV. Wink

I am glad you are going to wear what you want (not black) to the funeral. I have considered funerals as an occasion to celebrate and commemorate the lives of those who died. Not their death. I try to think back about that person and what a wonderful life they had and the impact they had on others during that time.

I agree, most people see it as a pity party for themselves and their loss, rather than concentrate on the life of the person. It does become a me, me, me thing to many.

Not sure also, how that translates for very young people. But I try to think of their passing as having been for a reason that we just cannot fathom. Just something one has to accept in the grand scheme of things.

JMO.

Oh, and mission, thanks for the compliment on the minnie pearl hat. It was fun to make. I have much fun designing avatars!

(Whoa, dude, I am such a bummer these days! I think I need a shower and to get outta this house. Why, I think buying a new TV will help my mood considerably!)
