I am wanting to adopt my brothers baby, which him and his ex-girlfriend have decided to give up for adoption. Or is there another way to go about getting their baby, like through them signing their parental rights over to my husband and myself? If anyone can give me any info I would appreciate it. Thank you

Yes, they allow people to flag a posting if its profound.  Many of them are removed quickly, however, some stay around longer.   Just about anything you want and the ease of craigslist.   The auto section alone is getting taken over by scams.  But they have personal ads that are not monitored too closely.

 Elizabeth used it quite often apparently foe selling items....  Did I read somewhere that she posted an ad for free baby stuff being given away?

I know she was posting some baby stuff but I don't remember if they were free. I have never looked on Craigslist.

Dec 27 pings from Elizabeth'e cell near Victoria TX, heading toward the Mexican Border

Dec 27 11:45 Elizabeth seen parking her car at Hotel 6, sitting for 5 mins, getting out with a large backpack, and walking across street to Tornado Bus

Dec 27 Just before Noon Elizabeth buys ticket to Fort Lauderdale, FL . for for $180.00 and waits for bus which leaves at 1:00pm.  Only white person on bus.

December 30, police in Miami arrested Johnson, but found no sign of the baby.

Couple in missing baby case given polygraph test

The prospective adoptive couple who have been named "persons of interest" in the nationwide search for a missing for 8-month-old baby have taken polygraph tests in connection with the investigation, but the results were inconclusive, Tempe Police said Monday.

Tempe police Commander Kim Hale said Jack and Tammi Smith had been cooperative and that it is possible they will be asked to take another polygraph to obtain more conclusive results.

The latest developments in the case of Baby Gabriel were announced in a news conference Monday, a day after the boy's mother was extradited to the Valley.

Elizabeth Johnson, who has refused to cooperate with authorities, was being held on charges of custodial interference in the Maricopa County Jail.

Police say she took the child to prevent the boy's father from having custody.

She has said she gave the baby to a couple in a park in San Antonio, Texas, after previously sending the father, Logan McQueary, a text message saying she had killed the boy.

She later said she sent the message to get back at McQueary.

Tempe Police are working with the FBI behavior analysis group with their investigation, Hale said.

Tempe Police Sgt. Steve Carbajal said all aspects of the investigation are continuing.

"We are still looking for Gabriel," he said. "We want to make that very clear."

Polygraph inconclusive in missing baby case

Police said Monday they are continuing to investigate conflicting statements made by a couple involved in the case of a missing 8-month-old Tempe boy.

The results of a polygraph test taken Friday by Jack and Tammi Smith of Scottsdale, who wanted to adopt Gabriel Johnson, came back as “inconclusive,” according to Tempe police Sgt. Steve Carbajal.

The Smiths were named persons of interest by police last week because investigators believe they are withholding information that could possibly lead them to the whereabouts of the child.

The baby’s mother, Elizabeth Johnson, was extradited late Saturday from Florida to a Maricopa County jail, where she is being held on a $1.1 million cash bond. Johnson remained uncooperative with authorities about the child’s whereabouts and also is facing charges of kidnapping and child abuse, police said.

The Tempe woman claimed she killed Gabriel and left him in a dumpster, but police believe the child is still alive. The child’s disappearance has sparked a nationwide search.

Gabriel was last seen with his 23-year-old mother Dec. 26 at a hotel in San Antonio. She lost custody of her son to the boy’s father, Logan Scott McQueary, two days later when she failed to show up at a custody hearing.

Johnson was arrested Dec. 30 at a youth hostel in Miami Beach, Fla., and held while awaiting extradition. She told McQueary that she killed the baby and left it in a trash bin. But police have said they believe Gabriel is alive, and they are investigating whether she gave him away.

Results from a polygraph test can be “deceptive,” “truthful” or “inconclusive,” Carbajal said. In this case, the results came back inconclusive.

“It doesn’t really clear things up,” Carbajal said of the Smiths’ polygraph results. “We’re still investigating and asking for leads and looking at everything.”

Kim Hale, commander of investigations for Tempe police, said Monday that Johnson was “very quiet and standoffish” when aboard the plane back to Arizona from Florida.

“She was not forthcoming with any information — and she’s been that way since she was arrested,” Hale said. “At this point, the baby could be anywhere. When asked if she wanted to be helpful in locating where her baby was, she had nothing to say.”

Authorities appealed to whoever may have Gabriel, saying the child can be turned over to a fire station or hospital if that person is afraid to come forward.

Why would a person give away baby stuff, I can see to a friend or relative, I can't see doing that for a complete stranger.

EJ had gone shopping in Miami, bought clothes, had nails done, and had $500.00 cash on her. Investigators said she should have run out of money a long time before she hit Miami. 

Need to track the money, possible she sold Gabriel.

Police are still trying to figure out where all the money went. 

NG says having $500 cash on her does not indicate that EJ sold baby.
