Yes and that someone has a WI connection.  It just really bothers me that this reporter is so "chummy" with Tammi when it's clear that Tammi and her husband are persons of interest and have no legal right to Gabriel.

Yep exactly what I thought too! Looks like we are all on the same page. Something is smelling a little rotten.

I am trying to find birth announcements in newspapers in WI. If these people are as excited as most are when adopting a baby they are blasting the information all around their local newspapers. There are only about 30 or so in WI.  If anyone has a few minutes can you check out what you can find? I am using newslink.org

The area she used to live w/ex hubby is Chalmette, LA which was a devastated area of the state after Katrina. But I would thiink anyone knowing her would know she wasn't living in the state anymore. I dont know why anyone would inquire about her since she was either in Nashville or Arizona at that time. (good find!!)

It would have been a missing post.
It was a site set up to find family after Katrina but it often was not updated (the status of the person)

PHOENIX - More than three weeks after an Arizona baby disappeared in Texas, Crime Stoppers of San Antonio is offering a $5,000 reward for his safe return. Meanwhile, the mother is saying she wants her baby back.

The baby's mother, Elizabeth Johnson, is in a Phoenix jail. She's changing her tune -- once silent, she now says she wants baby Gabriel back.

In the latest twist, Johnson claims there is video to prove that Gabriel was handed off to a couple in Texas. Tammi Smith told FOX 10 that she visited Johnson in jail Wednesday, saying the FBI has the surveillance video. The FBI has not confirmed that.

"After two days of getting to know them, on the third day they came to her hotel. They stayed inside the hotel for a while, she held the baby while they talked and they finalized things. She felt very pressured and scared, scared that she might go to jail or those types of things and pressured because she knew they really wanted a baby," Tammi Smith told us. "She wants out of jail and she wants that baby back so she can get out of jail."

Another interesting twist in the story:  Before fleeing Arizona, Johnson filed a petition seeking paternity tests.  Both for 8-month-old Gabriel Johnson's father, Logan McQueary and another man, Craig Cherry.

There is an unusual connection between Cherry and the Scottsdale couple, Jack and Tammi Smith, who wanted to adopt Gabriel.

"Craig Cherry did not know Elizabeth, he is not the father of the child according to Craig.  And as a matter of fact Craig revealed to us that he is a blood relative of Tammy Smith," said Kim Hale of the Tempe Police Department.

Tempe police believe the Smiths have not told them everything they know about the missing boy.

Gabriel was last seen Dec. 26 in San Antonio.

Investigators say Elizabeth Johnson, drove there from her home in Tempe, stayed about a week, then took a bus to Florida without Gabriel. She was arrested Dec. 30 in Miami Beach and returned to Arizona to face kidnapping and child abuse charges.

On the same day, Tammi Smith friend Yami Virgin of KABB from Fox 29 told Tammi that the Garmin navigation system in Ms. Johnson's Oldsmobile had shown a signal in Victoria, Texas, which is 96 miles (156km) south of San Antonio. Surveillance video later showed Ms. Johnson in San Antonio— without baby Gabriel— boarding a bus bound for Daytona Florida, a distance of 1046 miles (1684km). Some authorities conclude that the baby boy is in Victoria. But was the Garmin found with the Oldsmobile or is it missing?

There are some inconsistant things in that article like "boarding a bus bound for Daytona Florida".
Of course there are alot of bad reporting in this case, IMO.
 Anyone know when or if it was stated when she was "seen" at Six Flags? They change the park hours in the fall and are now shut down till March according to the Six Flags San antonio website. I

I do not believe she was ever seen at Six Flags.  She was seen at a park by Six Flags which turned out to be Raymond Russell Park.

I know I never included any of this in that timeline I did. Just saved it as I was going to check out the reporter.

I only posted this for the name of the reporter friend that Tammi is suppose to have.  It is associatedcontent, someone wrote this from thier own opinion, there are many errors in the piece, it is used as filler for websites. But mostly it's wrong. Please stop analyzing the article. I posted it just for the name.

Eliza-Beth think someone gave some misinformation, just mean people everywhere.

yes that was confusing, esp for those of us playing catch up on this case since it wasn't made clear that it was an article of misinformation and only posted for the name.
