As suspicious as I am in regards to Tammi and Jack's involvement in the happenings encompassing baby Gabriel ... as far as we know no other mother has come forward claiming to have given up her baby to or has adopted a baby through this couple or ... has acted as a surrogate.

This is true.... you know how people  are afraid of being exposed...I n hope we are out on a branch concerning the Smiths and EJ but every case seems to be more twisted each time

EJ said in the article that she wants Gabe to be in a stable home.....how does she know what kind of a home the couple she gave him to has or if they even have a home.......sorry I call BS on this statement.

Police: We believe 8-month-old left at S.A. park is still alive (with video)

There's still hope that a missing 8-month-old baby with ties to the Alamo City is alive.

"We have some indications that Gabriel is still alive," Sgt. Steven Carbajal of the Tempe Police Department.

Police are offering no further details as they search for Gabriel Johnson. His parents were locked in a nasty custody battle when he disappeared right after Christmas.

He was last seen with his mother, Elizabeth Johnson, who claims she gave the boy to complete strangers at a San Antonio park. She's been arrested in Florida on suspicion of what authorities call "custodial interference."

In a jailhouse interview, the 23-year-old Johnson talked about the couple who she says now have her baby..

"I trusted them," she told a reporter. "I believe in my heart they are good people."

Before her arrest, Johnson allegedly sent the father of the child, Logan McQueary, a text message saying, "There is no way in hell you will ever see your son again, I killed him." Later, she said she made that story up.

McQueary said he is not sure what has happened to baby Gabriel. He told reporters that he did not think Elizabeth had killed their son.

Investigators are not certain the mother is telling the truth about giving the boy away. Johnson claims to not know the name of the couple or their address.

"I made a hasty decision, and I thought it would be... I thought it was okay," she said.

Police are also concerned about another statement she made, that she's not worried about whether the boy is alive or dead.

When I heard Elizabeth Johnson speak in the jail house interview the other day ... my thought process immediately captured an image of Casey Anthony.  Same mindset.  No conscience.  No remorse.

Think about it.  Caylee lost her life following a fight that Casey had with Cindy over her lack of responsibility as well as threatened custody.

On NG last night Tammi said the EJ paid for the hotel up front in cash for the entire week. 

Two  problems with this, A - she stayed at two hotels, and B - from my travel I have never been able to check into a hotel without a credit card on file.

I called the reservations line for Choice Hotels and explained that I had lost my purse with all credit cards and would not have a replacement in time for the trip I was making.  Could I book 5 days at the Quality Inn and Suites Fiesta Park if I paid cash up front?  answer.......NO, Nope, Nada! It is a requirement that a card be on file not only for the cost of the daily room charges, but also to cover in room charges such as movie rental, phone charges, in room dining,  any items which guests may have forgotten to purchase (such as towels, robes, pillows, coffeemaker etc. ) as well as expenses in the rare case of damages.  When I asked if they could recommend a hotel that would allow me to pay cash up front they said it has been industry standard for a very long time to require a credit card on file and good luck. They also suggested a relative or friend  could fax, call or email a card number with authorization and they would be able to do it that way.  I have not called the Homegate Studios & suites to see what they say as they do not have a international number.

I have a friend who lives in Tempe, been trying to get hold of her all afternoon, hoping she will call back soon.

It is way to much of a co-inky-dinky, that is for sure. Now to top it off with what Northern found out about hotels and needing a credit card, well, someone had to have helped Elizabeth with that, otherwise she wouldn't have been able to have had the hotel room. Be interesting to find out what your friend in Tempe may be hearing.

on the credit card issue, at work i have to make A LOT of reservations from OR, WA, ID, CA and in NV sometimes east coast.. we always do pay with a credit card but they ALWAYS ask for one, you cannot rent a room with out one anymore, i think it may have to do some what with ppl stealing or trashing the rooms then having no way to charge them...

just a guess but i have not found one motel/hotel that you can pay cash at anymore..


i am also frustrated and extremely curious as to this information they have that they are so sure he is still alive......

and wth is with all these d@mn conflicting reports???

another site like the other I posted. Had she been looking for someone to take baby Gabe, maybe she did as I just did, googled "seeking to adopt" and "looking to adopt". She would have gotten similar results to mine and been able to choose someone as far away from her hometown as possible. I have to say again though, I really think someone would have come forward by now had she handed baby Gabe over to someone.
