Mother of missing child returned to Valley

The Valley woman who is not cooperating with police in the search for her missing 8-month-old son has been extradited from Florida to the Tempe jail, police said Sunday afternoon.

Tempe police also announced that Elizabeth Johnson faces charges of kidnapping, child abuse and custodial interference. She is being held on a cash bond of $1.1 million.

The Tempe woman claimed she killed Gabriel Johnson and left him in a dumpster, but police believe the child is still alive. The child’s disappearance has sparked a nationwide search.

Oh gosh...she looks about 12 yrs old in that mug shot. Wow that is a huge bond. I don't think she will be going anywhere anytime soon. They really need to grill her 24/7 til she gives up where Gabriel is.

She really is not going to like tent city and warden Joe....the temps in the summer are gruesome.

She won't have any window's to break in a tent.

I am trying to follow this case but I am pages behind. Why are the Smiths not in jail? Did they take and pass poly's? It sure sounds like they know what happened but are refusing to say.

It might be difficult to keep a craigslist ad up for baby adoption without it being flagged and removed. I once was giving away a dog and I was told I couldn't do that, (what?), so going with that same logic, it might not be possible to give away a human being on craigslist.

This girl is unbalanced, whether it be because of her past childhood or a mental disorder, she had no business being around this baby, ever.

Notice to Family and Friends of Inmates Housed in Lower Buckeye Jail, Towers Jails and 4th Avenue Jail:

 

There have been reports that inmates are threatening other inmates who partake in the evening jailhouse meal.  To ensure inmate safety, all inmates in three jails, Lower Buckeye, Towers and 4th Avenue will be on security lockdown until that matter is resolved to the Sheriff’s satisfaction.

 

Visitation by family and friends is suspended until the matter is resolved and no phone calls from inmates will be permitted during lockdow    Tammi I don't think an interview will be happening

I can not believe how many times he has had to go to court as some inmate and lawyer are filing that their rights are being violated.  It has been quite educational looking up the stories on this jail.  He has done amazing things though
