Kids send Obama a letter asking him to come and build a giant snowman. They get a form letter back, dated days before the letter the kids sent to him.

The kids wrote him a letter back and it is pretty snarky.  LOVE IT

Just found that our youngest grandchild (5) is having surgery to remove a foreign object from his nose in the morning.Apparently whatever he got up his nose was pushed further when he tried to get it out.He didn't tell anyone.Dr. was doing x-ray and made this discovery.Now we know why he didn't get over his nasal congestion. While they have him there they are going to remove his adenoids.All I can think about is when we lost Aiden at the hospital.I know my stepdaughter is a nervous wreck.I am gonna pray about it and try to look calm.       Please pray for the little one.

Ummmm... where did I put that honeydew list I had around here... LOL

I have a honeydew list, but believe me if I put plumbing and ceiling repair down on it for my husband to do, we would probably have a flood and the ceiling collapse. It is best to pay for repairs    Hope you are feeling better, and the little ones are also 

If I put all that stuff on a honeydew list, it would be my husband who collapses! The babies are doing quite well and I am feeling much better today... thank you for caring.   

Bananas, I'm SO GLAD the babies are better! That makes everything easier. Amazing how those little ones care wear us out, isn't it? Glad you're better!

Thanks, it went ok. They always have trouble finding a good vein...and it always takes longer than they say it will...and the ins co is giving us trouble on the bill...and I always cry either on the way there or the way home....BUT...my new red boots totally kicked ass!!! They are the BEST for toe tapping (I take my iPod now so I can do my homework and not get involved with all the other patient's dramas)! Thanks for the prayers. (And you guys know you're the only ones I tell this stuff to, right? I mean, I gotta be brave! bullchit!)

I'm sorry Trimm for laughing about the foreign object in his nose. I will most definitely pray for your the young one and your stepdaughter  .

He will be fine and please let us know what was up there. Maybe to keep your minds off of things, you all should have a bet on what the little guy put up his nose.

I'm glad it went okay. Just an FYI, I don't know if will work for you, but when my friend went through chemo, the drug companies took up the slack of what insurance wouldn't pay. I don't know if that is what you are going through with the insurance, but if so I would look into it. I'm glad the red boots kicked azz!!! I always said if I came into a load of money, I would donate dvd players and/or lap tops for the patient's to use while they are getting their treatments. It would give them something to do instead of reading last year's People magazine or just thinking about the horribleness of it all.

Like I have always said, you can tell us everything and keep a strong upper lip up at home.  I can't imagine going through what you are going through. All I could do was hold my friend's hand, make her a drink and tell her she is talking too chit because of the ativan they would put in her bag. You know we are here for you!!!

Blue rosary? How many colors do you have?  I have a pearl one, crystal one I got at confirmation, one my sister (non Catholic) made for me for Christmas and another that I got at church that is broken. I liked it the best because it smelled like roses.

I think tonight I will use my new rosary for Trimm, for you and for the people of Haiti.

My prayers for the little one  When I was a kid the neighbor kid pushed a crayon up her nose and it broke, she also had to have it removed. Have a good night, I'm sure it will all go well tomorrow. Poor little guy.

Glad it went okay  Those darn insurance companies, always some crap to have to deal with, I sure hope it gets straightened out. Nothing wrong with crying, a good cry always seems to make one feel better.

Confession time No Rose, when I was little I shoved a jaw breaker up my nose. I only have heard the stories, how my dad's football player friend in college had to hold me down and they finally got it out.  That is one thing I will never live down.

When my brother was little he used to stick everything that would fit up his nose..he put some dry pinto beans in there once...Mom had a devil of a time getting them out..but she got them...

Prayers that all goes well tomorrow!  I did get an interesting way to remove things from kids noses. Simply plug the nostril that does not have the thing in it. Then take a bottle of canned air and spray a puff in the kids mouth. My sister tried it and shot the thing across the room. I am glad none of my kids have done the up the nose trick but I will remember this when it happens!

Trimm...are u going to be able to be with him and his parents when he goes in for his surgery? is he scared? Poor little guy...I feel bad for him...What do they think that it is or do they have any idea?

I have my First Communion standard issue white, in pieces. I also have our sons' FC rosaries. I have a plastic glow in the dark (remember hanging them over the lampshades before we went to bed and then using them as little lights?), a blue one one son bought me in Farmington Hills, a pink one from my Gramma, a red one from my aunt, and a blue crystal one I bought off ebay. I like the one from Gramma best, and today, darn it all...do you think I could find any one of them to say?? Had to do the rosary on the fingers thing. Not to worry, good sis  is coming tonight, she'll help me find them all!
