DOH, Tevye I hope that your treatment went well today. I pray for you during your treatments. 

Thanks, it went ok. They always have trouble finding a good vein...and it always takes longer than they say it will...and the ins co is giving us trouble on the bill...and I always cry either on the way there or the way home....BUT...my new red boots totally kicked ass!!! They are the BEST for toe tapping (I take my iPod now so I can do my homework and not get involved with all the other patient's dramas)! Thanks for the prayers. (And you guys know you're the only ones I tell this stuff to, right? I mean, I gotta be brave! bullchit!)

  Be brave and Brazen!!  Sorry to hear the insurance is being a pain - but red boots and an Ipod is a wonderful combination.

Just found that our youngest grandchild (5) is having surgery to remove a foreign object from his nose in the morning.Apparently whatever he got up his nose was pushed further when he tried to get it out.He didn't tell anyone.Dr. was doing x-ray and made this discovery.Now we know why he didn't get over his nasal congestion. While they have him there they are going to remove his adenoids.All I can think about is when we lost Aiden at the hospital.I know my stepdaughter is a nervous wreck.I am gonna pray about it and try to look calm.       Please pray for the little one.

My prayers for the little one  When I was a kid the neighbor kid pushed a crayon up her nose and it broke, she also had to have it removed. Have a good night, I'm sure it will all go well tomorrow. Poor little guy.

Confession time No Rose, when I was little I shoved a jaw breaker up my nose. I only have heard the stories, how my dad's football player friend in college had to hold me down and they finally got it out.  That is one thing I will never live down. 

Holy cow a jaw breaker?  Has your friend heard anything JSM - I am a bit behind so if it was posted I haven't seen it yet.

Muffy your son who put the eggs in his ears, that sounds like something my youngest daughter would have done  Her issue was putting things into her mouth. I would go nuts, if we went to someone's home, I would look all around the floor in case a penny or something of interest would be on the floor for her to put it in her mouth

i have a cousin who shoved pb & j sammies in the vcr

and a nephew who thought his humidafier (sp?) was a piggy bank....

Kids can do the craziest things. My older daughter when she was one and a half, we had a Fischer Price house for her, and she decided to put her foot in the chimney, I couldn't get her foot out, she was screaming. My dad who was very calm, and calmed her down got her foot out.

will be back later on...errands and some shopping for our cruise that is 2 weeks from today!!
Cookie diet is going well...jeans are not quite as tight...


I heard on the news today that some organization was sending beenie babies to the children of Haiti...that made my heart swell! I thought, that may very well be the only stuffed animal/toy that any of these children have ever had...
I am hoping that the world will come together and help the people of Haiti who so deserve to be  given a better life than they have had...maybe Haiti will be rebuilt better than it ever was....instead of putting money into wars and nuclear weapons, put that money into helping people who really need it and we may all see a new world around us! jmo...

I heard on the news today that some organization was sending beenie babies to the children of Haiti...that made my heart swell! I thought, that may very well be the only stuffed animal/toy that any of these children have ever had...
I am hoping that the world will come together and help the people of Haiti who so deserve to be  given a better life than they have had...maybe Haiti will be rebuilt better than it ever was....instead of putting money into wars and nuclear weapons, put that money into helping people who really need it and we may all see a new world around us! jmo...

When i was a wee little monkey and it was just me and munkey munk, i had a fisher price stroller, a really really thick plastic one for my baby dolls...well when momma was in the shower i decided i wanted to ride in my stroller...

bad idea

i was stuck, like really stuck, and not happy, momma couldnt get me out for the life of her, so she threw me (well maybe gently set me) in the hatchback part of her honda and drove to i think the fire station first, they tried to saw thru it and it wouldnt even scratch the plastic, then on to my uncle's friend's house where friend and uncle were, they tried and finally all covered in dish saop and oils, told my mom to turn around plug her ears and scream as loud as she could and one held me other held the stroller and pop out comes Scarey...

my legs were loosing circulation and turning pretty colors, and i had indents from swelling around the plastic mom thought i would have scars....

i still have the stroller for when i have a lil girl...there will be a talk about who the stroller is for, babies not lil girls....

Johnson & Johnson expanded a recall of over-the-counter medications Friday, the second time it has done so in less than a month because of a moldy smell that has made users sick.

The broadening recall now includes some batches of regular and extra-strength Tylenol children's Tylenol, eight-hour Tylenol, Tylenol arthritis, Tylenol PM, children's Motrin, Motrin IB, Benadryl Rolaids, Simply Sleep, and St. Joseph's aspirin. Caplet and geltab products sold in the Americas, the United Arab Emirates, and Fiji were recalled.
