I must get something done now. I'll never hear the end of it if I don't!

Have a great day everyone!

You too    Somehow I missed the pregnant Barbi dolls  My kids must have been too old at that time.

Looks like it was pulled from the stores shortly after. My daughter was more interested in Doctor Barbie, thankfully.  Monkey Devil!

Wow, I'm glad they didn't have those when my kids were little, I can hear the questions already

Good morning everyone!

Good to see you Gizzie and Green Eyes. (If any of you want to get aboard the happy train AKA Bob's Monkey Express, just let me know, there's plenty of room, and everyone has a good time!)

Hi Northern Rose, Sassy, no rose and Trimm. (I guess JSM is skating right now.)

I wanted to mention something about those sit-down electric carts for people who need them in grocery stores. I probably need one, with my back problem, as I cannot walk or stand for very long, although I have never used one. Too embarrassed to admit in public that I have a problem. I make do with shorter trips and leaning on my shopping cart. but I can see someone needing one in my situation and being able to get up and walk down an aisle to get something, but needing to sit shortly after that. Just wanted to say that, maybe that lady did need one, although it does not appear to others that she did. I walk fast and look perfectly normal for a short while, then HAVE to sit, as my back spasms and makes it intolerable to stand any longer. Anyway, just an observation from the other side. Wink

Husband is going to Sam's today and I declined, since the store is so huge and my back has not been happy the past week or so.

Hope everyone is having a great Saturday and hello to anyone I might have missed!

Good to get a report from Tevye last night. I love hearing from her, eh? Wink

Brandi like you I can walk short distances but then my knees give out (arthirtis). I do use one of the electric carts, and if I could do without one I would. They are a pain in the b--t
You can't reach anything when you are sitting down and it takes about double the time to shop. Don't get me started about shoppers that park their carts in the middle of the aisle and expect everyone else to wait while they make up their mind. LOL gotta love them.

an angelic monkey My mother had to do the same thing, lean on the shopping cart. I didn't mean no disrespect, believe me, I have a back that has been nothing but problems for twenty years now, and I know about the spasms and walking to far. Especially walking in a store, with the concrete flooring that does nothing but hurt the back. But I have seen people abuse those in my Walmart, and it makes me mad, because there are only two cars, and they should be used by people that have trouble. Some people that shop there have there own little scooters that you see advertised on tv, but many people can't afford those, they are expensive. I just hate seeing people abuse things, that are meant to be helpful for people that need help.

I hate it too, no rose. I see people with handicapped tags on cars parking in handicapped spots, and see them walk to and from their cars, in my mind, I think "I need that spot more than they do." LOL But we never know if their need is legitimate or not, really. Just have to assume it is.

Nice to see you SusieQ! Sorry you have arthritis and walking/standing problems. It's the pits. So much I'd like to be able to do and just can't. The only thing I take to help is Ibuprofen. I don't have medical insurance atm and have never seen a doctor about my back pain/spams in the past except when it was diagnosed right after I had my son (20+years ago) that I had a prolapsed disc. Found out from my gynecologist months after that that my pelvis had been broken as well! (During childbirth .. and I never knew it!) But the back problem has been manageable until the last 6 years or so. Now, it really crimps my style! Probably TMI ... sorry I went on and on. LOL

I never heard of a pelvis breaking during childbirth. OMG, how painful. I have bulging discs, and a back full of arthritis. I know they have prescription arthritis medicine, but don't know how well that works. But with most medication, it helps one things, while it hurts another body part. A lot of medicine sure hurts the liver after awhile it seems.  an angelic monkey Pain like that does crimp ones style, oh too be young again.

JSM, I see you here, so here goes my skating rant:

1. The lady (Tracy) who does the commentary on the pairs needs to STFU!!! I want to HEAR the music as I SEE the beauty!

2. Since when is a program featuring Ave Maria and Amen a "religious themed" program? Uh, dumb tracy, those are CLASSICAL pieces of music. I would hazard a guess that any skater's knowledge of classiscal music is second only to their knowledge of all things skating. I was insulted that they kept referring to that program as religious.

3. I always get torqued up at the judging, but it's the commentators who drive me insane. yeah, tracy, I can see them floating across the ice, I DO NOT NEED YOU TO TELL ME!! Just shut up already!

whew, I think that's it for now!  Gotta save some vitrol for tonight!

Oh, PS...I WANT TORVILLE AND DEAN BACK!! not just as coaches...I don't care how old they are, they still got it!

WTH  I know some of those commercials sound real promising with certain medications, and then they start listing the side effects, and you are like, that's okay, I'll pass on that pill

I think the last two were wishful thinking from my computer.....or hubby?        I went to shovel snow and came back and still got that SMF database error so figured  I either shoveled fast today or hubby got into my computer.  Sort of glad to see others had the same issue.
