Evening Monkeys. I love watching the puppies. I love puppies.  I thought I was the only person in the world that likes to look at cookbooks.

Okay, I haven't posted this today because I think it is probably nothing. But this morning I was rubbing Josef's belly. I noticed above I guess what would be his sternum a lump on his chest. One of the girls at the vet felt it when he was sitting up, but didn't when he laid down. I showed her when I got there to pick him up. She felt it then. 

I am probably worrying myself to death about this for nothing, but after what my BGF just went through with his Maggie and Josef not being as evil as usual, I am scared. He has an appointment for his Senior Wellness check on Saturday. (that way the vet won't think I am a crazy hypochondriac).  I swear I will die if something is wrong with him. So please monkeys, keep JSM (dog hypochondriac) and Josef in your prayers. I know that others have FAR worse problems than me and my prayers are with you all. TIA JSM

JSM, I'll pray for you and Josef. I know how important he is to you...he's your kid, for gosh sakes! I hope the lump will be nothing, just a physical manifestation of his evilness! He'll do anything to get your attention...I think he's still jealous of the laptop

Tevye - you are so amazing - have cancer, get chemo - go teach inmates and go to school. I do not have that much ambition without cancer.   

Thanks. My plan is to outrun the cancer, I'm too busy to die, and I've got these cool new boots....

Girl as fast as you go at jail, school and home, cancer doesn't have a chance to catch you.

JSM...my dog who is 12 has the same thing on his chest..had him to the vet...nothing...it is like a fat gathering or something like that..He is also getting these old dog warts all over him...some he will scratch till they bleed...nothing to worry about says the vet...they get their issues of aging just like humans do I guess...Try not to worry...you will see that it will more than likely be nothing serious...

Dang I missed you cookie. I wanted to ask if your dog's warts are under the skin. I think that this is probably the same as what Josef has. I am trying not to worry. I think the thing I feel will be gone by Saturday. That is what usually happens when I take him to the vet.

Our vet called them "fatty tumours" on our Bandit. Which was kinda funny, as she was so overweight we called her the bullet dog...she was shaped like one. I would always tell our kids she thought she was a ballerina, all princy and prancy...only she was a really FAT ballerina, with a pink tutu, and pranced around in high heels (her toenails always clicked on the floor). Sorta like a hipppo in a tutu, only about 2 feet off the floor. But the fatty tumours were nothing to worry about, and did not affect her health...or her appetite!

  Josef had a fatty tumor when he wasn't fat. It was in his neck. I swear he had a thyroid tumor. Turned out it was just a lipoma. Then he got fat and if he had any fat tumors I wouldn't have found them.  I think Josef has a fatty tumor too, but I still worry. I worry about him, never about me. That is funny about the hippo in a tutu, Josef used to look like that too! He looked like a big fat hot link with long skinny legs.

  We have been getting rain all afternoon and now they say it is going to freeze. I sure hope it doesn't I HAVE to go to work tomorrow. I guess I will walk if it freezes. The city doesn't sand the roads anymore and I have to drive up and down hills.

Every morning, DH lets Ozzie out, leaving the (heated,,,can you say spoiled!) garage door open so Oz can come in where it's warm when he's finished with his business. Well, last week we had a thaw, so now he can get up the back steps and sit on the back porch and stare at me through the sliding glass door when I go out to the kitchen for coffee. I always tell DH "Honey, that dog came back! I told you to stop feeding him and then he'd stop coming around!" See, Ozzie knows if we see him, we'll let him in the house, he doesn't care that the whole darn garage is heated just for him!! Devil dog!

We have been getting rain all afternoon and now they say it is going to freeze. I sure hope it doesn't I HAVE to go to work tomorrow. I guess I will walk if it freezes. The city doesn't sand the roads anymore and I have to drive up and down hills.

It's OK Trimm, I love watching them.  I just have to stop being so emotional when it comes to my animals.  When my daughter's gerbil died and we dug him a little grave, she had a ceremony for him and them we made a cross with dead pine branches and put it on his grave I was in tears after we were done and she went back into the house.  I did not even like her gerbil as it reminded me of a mouse, I am just a sap I guess.

Yes Tevye, it is making me laugh. That is so awesome you have a heated garage and Ozzie sounds just like Josef staring at the glass door. He would stare at the glass door until he got so tired his nose just slid down the door and he fell asleep. I don't blame Ozzie from wanting to come inside, he has company instead of being in the garage.

  I thought a police car was flashing it's lights, it was lightning. I will have to give Josef a benadryl now. Thanks No Rose, I hope it doesn't freeze. I can't drive in that stuff. It scares the life out of me.

Northern you aren't a sap. I cry if I see an animal that is hurt and/or dead. I try to be a cold person, but when it comes to animals I can't. Animals and children that are hurt or killed really makes me sad. They are so innocent.

stopping by to say hello this morning...   gonna start getting ready to head to the airport for our trip...the house/dog sitters will be here shortly as well so dog will be comfortable at home....I will tune in again during the wait at the airport! getting excited..

JSM ...the old dog warts are on top of his skin...some are bigger than others....he never had them before he got old...sigh....
and Yes, the growth on his chest is a fatty tumor...will not hurt him....probably what Josef has too...
