Afternoon Monkeys. Hope you are all staying warm and the snow lets up.

Just got back from the vet and they aspirated Josef's mass in his chest. It is more than likely 100% a lipoma because the vet said it was fatty liquid that came out.  They did blood work, x-rays, poop test all for the low, low price of $537.99  OUCH! Oh well, luckily I had the money so I wanted to get every test done now instead of waiting. I will get the lab results back tomorrow on his urine and blood work. Last time they thought he may have Cushings, so that is the only thing I am worried that the liver test comes back higher.

Anyways, just wanted to thank you all for your prayers and kind words while I was a basket case.  You monkeys ROCK!!!!

Expensive trip to the vet but they are so worth it.  I am glad to hear it was a lipoma and hope the remaining tests come back with no issues - I will be thinking about you and Josef - let us know as soon as you find out. 

  Thanks  Mission. The cost was well worth keeping my sanity in check. I am so thankful it was just a lipoma. I will let you know what the tests say.

Sounds like he has a history of getting ripped - I think the guy needs some serious help.

Happy Sunday! JSM, so glad to hear Josef is just getting fat! (don't tell him I said that  ) Northern Rose, hope all goes well in your kitchen today, I am SO impressed with your daughter's project. What grade is she in? Mission, are we done with the cold yet? We're at a blistering 21 today, with light snow. I am over winter...guess that means I'll have to take my Christmas tree down..that or decorate it for Valentine's day (that's what they did at the jail, they're just going to leave it up and decorate it for each new season!). NoRose, hope you're feeling better. Remember, Mucinex and lots of water (actually, if you just do lots of water and steam vaporizer, you may get the same results. But, the Mucinex does speed the process up).

Lessseee, who'd I miss? Oh, Brandi, your dog is so cute! I can't believe how much snow you've gotten....and I always think it's funny when an area that rarely gets snow gets dumped on. Sort of a "Welcome to my world" feeling.

Oh, and JSM, more details on your skating, please. There was a great movie on the Hallmark Channel yesterday about skating...it was very light on technique and heavy on romance, but there was some good skating. How long till the Olympics????

Tevye I've been doing the Mucinex and water and antibiotics, I have to say that I do feel better today, no marathons, but will go slowly to Home Depot to order the microwave, and then slowly through the grocery store. I don't have a vaporizer, but what I've been doing for years when I get this, is take a hot shower, and that seems to help open things up. Hope your Sunday is going good.

Tevye, I told Josef you are glad to hear he is fat. Not much to tell about my skating except that one is just skating and the other one is skating with a ribbon like gymnasts use. It is very hard because I don't have arm leg coordination.  What movie did you watch? I finally watched Blades of Glory it was pretty funny. Olympics start in two weeks..    I am not looking forward to the Super Bowl, I just know my Saints are going to get creamed.

Not feeling much better.  I walked into walls in the house twice today and my balance is way off. Drove to the bank this morning and should not have been driving so bailed on groceries and came home.  Think I may have an ear infection to go along with the sinus infection.   This is for the school fair and if she does well enough in judging will go on to the regionals.

Northern Rose take care of yourself - I hope you get to feeling better real soon.

haha .. I know what you mean. I grew up in Ohio and Connecticut, so I know snow But it really is an event here in VA to get a lot of snow. It's fun to see how the people here react.

Hi JSM and all of the other Monkeys. I was about 50 pages behind and have been reading to catch up. I am so glad Josef is ok. And yes people do get the fatty tumors. I have some on my arms. And my Mom had a huge one on her back and under her arm. Almost scared me to death when she showed it to me. Mine are small.

Tevye, Sorry I can't help on your paper. I have no experience at that. Glad you felt well enough to go to the jail. And I thought I was the only one with Christmas trees still up. lol. I have been so busy and had so much upset and a bad back, that I just don't worry about them. If my kids wouldn't commit me to the nut house I would leave them up all year.

Northern and No rose, I hope you guys get to feeling better.

Brandi I am jealous of all that snow...I bought milk just so I could make snow cream and all we got was 2 inches of ice. But the sun is out today and it is melting. It was absolutely gorgeous on the trees with the sun shining on them.

Forgot....JSM thank you for the prayers. I have felt them all. I will be so glad to see tomorrow. January has been pure hell.
My son-in-law got all his test back and he just had a massive UTI and prostate infection. So prayers were answered. Chandler ended up having to go back to the doctor on Monday and ended up with Strep throat. They checked for that at the hospital on Friday but it was negative. Then Cody came down with it Tuesday and Courtney got it on Thursday. Just waiting on me to get it as I was loving on all three of them and Courtney drank out of my coke. My sister is a teacher at the elementary school where I have 4 grandkids attending and she said each class room had anywhere from 5-10 kids out sick every day last week.
