Everyone knows that if a dog's ears are up and its tail is wagging vigorously, it is definitely pleased to see you.
Now, scientists using a robot have found that the way dogs use their tails is more subtle than we thought and that dogs that wag them to the left may be more friendly.

Not me. But I am just in and out of using it.

Funny story to liven up the day for all of you. I am busy sewing - and I use a rotary cutter to cut out material. I am working on baby outfits (I hate baby feet in clothing!)  Anyway, I am re-cutting a piece that I messed up and the phone rings - so I close up the cutter and go to answer the phone - next thing I know my 3 year old is screaming - I went to look figuring he poked himself with a pin (his job is to hand me pins). He had cut his hand with the cutter (this is NOT the funny part) - anyway - very small paper cut looking thing but he needed mommy love so I am cuddling with him on the couch and he says "I think I am going to die!"   Over and over he says this - I am trying not to laugh because it is such a minor injury - but he was so serious I did not figure it was in good taste to laugh!  After about 5 minutes of this mantra, he looks at it and says - Hey were did my boo boo go?  Got to love kids.

  I am glad he is okay TBM!!! That is cute.

  How sweet. My mom had to have all the feet cut out when my youngest daughter was a baby, she couldn't tolerate her feet cooped up in sleepers.

It's awful, everything on me is all stopped up, ears, nose and chest. I keep thinking it is the weather, one day it's rainy, next day somewhat decent I don't know  I live on Benydryl. Hope you can sleep well.

Va. Declares Emergency In Advance Of Winter Storm

"Gov. Bob McDonnell has declared a state of emergency in advance of a winter storm expected early Friday through Saturday.

Wednesday's declaration authorizes state agencies to assist local governments responding to a storm that could bring high winds and up to 20 inches of snow to the northern and western parts of the state.

Forecasters are calling for up to three-quarters of an inch of freezing rain for much of western and southwestern Virginia and heavy rains and high winds in southeastern Virginia.

McDonnell said road crews and the Virginia National Guard are prepared to respond, and urged residents to do the same."
