Hi Sassy - hope you got all moved and are settled in.  Homemade pizzas sound wonderful - I think I may just follow your lead.

We're still packing and getting ready.   We are actually selling two places (a condo and the townhouse) to buy the one house, so things are pretty complicated.  We've been doing little repair jobs, trying to get the places ready for settlement.   
We have so much stuff.       It will take forever to unpack everything once we move it into the new house.   We are doing the packing ourselves, but the movers will be carrying all the heavy furniture for us.   That is scheduled for the end of the month.  Hopefully, there won't be some major big azz snowstorm that day.     

I love homemade pizza.   Northern Rose makes a lot of homemade pizza, too.    My favorite is pizza with ham and pineapple.   yum.   I usually make a pepperoni pizza for hubby, too.    For an "everything" pizza, I always saute the onions and green peppers before I put them on the pizza to bake.    Yum.  Now I'm getting hungry.   

I haven't read back so I know I've missed a bunch - but I hope everyone is doing ok and staying warm.    Still wondering where Al Gore is hiding.....      I wish I could throw a snowball at him.

I make pizza once a week.  I have a great recipe for the dough I do in my breadmaker then move it to a big cookie sheet and do square pizza.  They are so large that you can do half a sheet with one set of topping and the other half as something else.  My favourite is black olives, fresh tomatoes, feta cheese and onions.  Kids think it is gross lol.  They like pepperoni, back bacon, salami with fresh tomatoes. 

My son would love your pizza, Northern Rose.

He gets feta cheese on pizza whenever he can. And sun-dried tomatoes and olives.

Husband likes Hawaiian (pineapple and ham or pepperoni and Italian sausage though.)

Northern Rose when will we know how your daughter did with her science fair project?  Did you get your kitchen back to normal? 

 

Tuesday and yesterday they had their displays set up in science class as a mini science fair.  The two teachers who are judging and marking never got to her Tuesday and yesterday one teacher was away.   Teacher went to her last yesterday with 3 mins left in class . She had to present her entire project in 3 mins when she practiced her presentation to fit in 5 mins.  To say she was upset when she got home yesterday is an understatement.  She is really worried that her school mark is not going to be fair let alone go on to the next round. 

That is ashame - she worked so hard and then to be only given 3 minutes of consideration from the teacher is terrible - 5 minutes isnt enough IMO but it would have been better than 3.  Tell her all the monkeys think she did a fabulous job. 

I will.  There is no school until Monday so she is really upset as she felt the teacher could have given her the extra 2 minutes before they got out for 4 days.  We will see what happens on Monday.  Her real concern is her science mark may go down because of it as it was complicated and she did not feel she had a chance to explain it so the teacher understood.  Her regular science teacher will hopefully be back on Monday as well.

I remember one time when we were living in Tampa, our alarm system went off while we were out one Sunday night.   When we got home, the cops were in our driveway.   We let them go into the house first, in case someone was in there.   When they came out, they asked our girls (ages 10, 5 and 4 at the time) who had the messy bedroom.   LOL.   Then they proceeded to give them a lecture on why it is important to keep your room clean.   My girls were scared chitless.   I loved those cops.   I didn't have much trouble getting them to clean their rooms after that.   
                           

OMG how funny is that Sassy. I would have been the one they were lecturing.

I saw the US athlete uniforms on the thread.  Here is the Canadian one.  My mom knit buffalo sweaters similar to the one here in the 80's.  She could have made a fortune knitting them for the athletes!

Those outfits are much nicer than what the US will be wearing.

There are really cute red mitts with a maple leaf and the Olympic rings in white on them.  My mom got us all a pair for Christmas and they are the hottest seller and really hard to get now.  I love them as they are also fleece lined.

I took them, but I can't sleep during the day. I bought chocolate ice cream in the cafeteria today. It made my throat feel so much better. I never eat ice cream. But when they weighed me today I have lost over six pounds since I went to the doctor in January.

and my first thought is these jackets look better than the Michelin man jackets the US Olympic team will be wearing. LOL

That is, if it will be cold enough to even wear a jacket in Vancouver.

I am sick, my fiance is sick, and has ear infection, my mom is sick now (we work together) one of our other guys is sick today, my 2 bosses are out of town, leaving me to run the office feeling like goat poo, and to top it off apparently my burglar alarm is going off and the password we had they say is not the one they have on file so they have called everyone on our contact list to inform them ( no clue why since they talked to me, the owner) and are now sending police to my house....

Sorry you are sick Scarey. Hope everything worked out with the police.

My fiance ran back home and the cops were just standing there staring at my house

Hi Brandi, I didn't want to go home. One of the other typist is on vacation today and tomorrow so I am going to be so behind tomorrow if I even get to go to work. The doctor said I have to be without fever for 24 hours. I will try and rest, I usually can't sleep during the day.

Sassy, good to see you. I don't envy your moving. I hate moving. But you will have a yard for a garden, so I am happy for you!

Mission, stay safe with that ice! We are in the bullseye for a huge storm slated to begin tomorrow morning. Anywhere from 12-24" of new snow. Just depends on how much will be rain/sleet (if any.)

I am taking my neighbor out to the grocery in a few minutes. That should be fun. hahaha.
