electric furnace, no fireplace. We do have a portable kerosene heater, but didn't buy any kerosene. LOL

Turkish girl, 16, 'buried alive by her father because she had friendships with boys'

A 16-year-old Turkish girl died after being buried alive under a chicken coop by relatives because she talked to boys.
The body of Medine Memi was found in a sitting position with her hands tied in a 6ft hole dug in the courtyard of her family's home in Kahta, south-eastern Turkey, 40 days after she had been reported missing. The hole had been cemented over.

The teenager had a large amount of soil in her lungs and stomach - showing she suffered a slow and agonising death.
'The post mortem result is blood-curdling. According to our findings, the girl – who had no bruises on her body and no sign of narcotics or poison in her blood – was alive and fully conscious when she was buried,' said a forensics expert.

Hi Monkeys,  Glad you're better Joe's Mama. Hope nobody's electricity goes out except at the White House.  Yeah,they have generators.  Whatever.
I'm in the buy a boat section so I'm getting the animals together--two by two.  Hard to catch those mosquitoes and hope there's a male and female.  Only they know.

More than two feet of global warming forecast for DC.  Wonder where Algor is.  He doesn't seem to be around much since the whole global warming thing has been exposed as a big hoax.  Even NASA who was sounding the alarm about the polar ice cap melting.  The amount they estimated would melt per year would take 300,000 years to melt it all.  I think we have time to develop a plan.  Bunch of crooks.

Loosing power is no fun at all.  Have candles ready just in case.  You will be amazed how much heat a candle can give off when you have no power.

Aladdin lamps are the best! You can light your room with a 60 watt bulb, heat the room and cook on them if you need to!

Aladdin lamps are the best! You can light your room with a 60 watt bulb, heat the room and cook on them if you need to!

We lived one time lighting only by kerosene lamps and heating, cooking with a wood stove as an experiment. It was fun. Lots of work cleaning those lamp chimneys daily though. LOL Most people burn the lamps way too high and that creates creosote build-up and smoke. And you are so right, Tevye, Aladdin lamps are the cream of the crop. We only had two, as they were a bit expensive for our blood back then. Weird wicks too. LOL But excellent lamps!
