  Just took a gander over in Haleigh's thread, I swear that this just gets worse and worse, now another nutcase came out of the woodwork.

Now what?  I am almost afraid to ask.

morning all...
lots of snow overnite here too...more coming down as we speak! I am debating if I even want to leave the house today...nothing pressing to do...I am still sitting in my jammies...I didn't get out of bed until 10:30 today! I think that I am resting up from the cruise and the lack of sleep from that! well worth it..
I had upper stomach problems again last night...it effects me when I go to bed, which makes me think that it could be acid reflux...it was not as severe last night...will try some anti acids and if that does not help, then I will go see doc....sigh...I have never had this problem before...

hope that you are all doing ok..

JSM, shouldn't you go back to the doc if you are not improving? sometimes the anti biotic doesn't work and you need something else? at least call your doctor to see what he/she says about it...xxxx

No expert here, but my husband has acid reflux and it is worse when he lays down. He takes Prevacid for it and it works. I don't think I spelled it right, but they do commercials for this product. I don't suffer from acid, but boy, when I was pregnant I sure did. That is very uncomfortable.

Hi Cookie, I hope you feel better. You need to go to the doctor. I am feeling a lot better than I did this morning. I think if I can get rid of the congestion in my head and chest I will feel much better. Take care of yourself.

That can be nasty when you lay down. My husband makes weird noises with that when he sleeps, and has to get up a lot during the night for medicine.

I'm glad Josef is being good  Zoe had a bout of irritable bowel vomiting up bile, so I had to give her a pill. When she gets like that she grazes on the grass, I finally just said that's it, I had to grab her by the collar and walk her away from the grass. She is sleeping now, but of course I'm worried. I get so sick of worrying about stuff sometimes.....   The one dog I was watching on the puppy cam, Brandi, she had eight beautiful pups. The other dog Daisy the doxie, she lost two of her pups, the vet the owner took her too, didn't even bother with the dog, the second vet took control of the situation, two of the dogs had low heart beat. I was watching these puppy cams for stress relief, now I'm all upset  can't win.

I hope Zoe is ok NoRose.  I would not have been able to watch that cam with the dogs and puppies - no way.

What happened was I knew the doxie was in labor, there was no way I would watch an animal or human give birth. I closed my eyes, believe it or not during those birthing classes I was forced into taking 26 years ago when I was pregnant the first time. My thoughts were the least I know the better, I was scared enough as is, and frankly just figured the baby will come out, I don't want to know more. May sound stupid, but it was easier for me too deal with. I had no family close and I was scared to death, for gosh sake, I gained about 90 pounds sitting and eating and being fearful    Later when I came back to the puppy cam that is when I found out what happened. I want to see the puppies in those cams that are already here, cleaned and nursing 

You make me laugh - but I have to tell you I was the same way - the less I knew the better off I was.  Those precious puppies do make you smile - nothing like a puppy.

Cookie I totally know how you feel - I get bouts of heartburn only at night and it will come and go - I did finally see my Dr. about it (this was like 5 yrs ago) he said it was acid reflux they did some tests and told me to take the purple pill (Prilosec?) and see if that helped - they also told me to watch the carbonated beverages and coffee - and to prop up your pillow at night so your head is more at an angle to keep the acid down in your stomach and out of your esophagus.  I actually take a tums every night before bed and it has made a big difference, I don't use the Prilosec - I find that I will go 6 mos plus and no heartburn and then I will have a few weeks where it rears its ugly head.  I hope you feel better.

Bush billboard on I-35: "Miss me yet?"

Looming over the southbound lanes of Interstate 35 in
Wyoming, Minn., is a grinning portrait of former President
George W. Bush, asking "Miss me yet?"

At a time when President Obama's approval ratings are
cratering, the billboard appeared stealthily about a month
ago.

"It was put up by a group of small business owners -- who
want to stay anonymous --because they felt Washington
wasn't listening," said Mary McNamara, a spokeswoman for
the company that owns the billboard. "They felt like it was
a good way to get their message out."

For the past two days, images of the billboard have raged
virally across the Internet, with a Google search resulting
in more than 100 million hits Tuesday.

The billboard was first reported by Minnesota Public Radio
blogger Bob Collins Monday morning.

He took a photo of it while cruising past, about 30 miles
north of downtown Minneapolis.

Collins wrote: "It's beginning to sweep along the Internet,
accompanied by various claims that it's a Photoshop fake.
But it's not. It's real...

"It's time to crowdsource this puppy."

McNamara said company officials were taken aback at the
explosion of interest in the billboard, appearing
everywhere from USA Today to the Huffington Post.

Told of the millions of hits that have erupted across the
Internet, she replied, "oh, my word -- that's amazing. I
guess it just shows that billboards work."

The billboard is standing 13 months after Bush left office,
a time when Obama's popularity has slumped. A Marist
College opinion poll published Monday found that just 44
percent of the nation's registered voters approve of his
performance.

Study Finds Autism Risk Increases With Mom's Age

A new study suggests that older women are at greater risk of having a child with autism, HealthDay reports. When compared to women giving birth in their mid to late 20s, moms who had babies at age 40 or older had a 50 percent greater risk of having an autistic child, researchers found. The team, from the University of California–Davis, used data from nearly 5 million births collected between 1990 and 1999—and saw that for every five years the moms aged, the risk grew by 18 percent. Researchers also found a higher autism risk in cases where the moms were young but the dads were older. Dads over age 40 having children with women in their 20s had an almost 60 percent increase in risk. Results were published in the journal Autism Research.

Good Morning Monkeys - WTG Saints huh?!!!!  WE are in the midst of a snowstorm the ride into work this morning was brutal - looks like we will get about 13".  I hope everyone is having a good Monday.

Sorry about your ride to work this morning, I hated being at work during a snowstorm. Always worried about getting home.

13" is a lot of snow. We only got 11" this past weekend.

Guess we will have to envision you this way today, huh? I think that is about 13".
