Hre is another one. These were taken yesterday afternoon.

Greeneyes, I love the pics. You got loads more snow than I did. Hope you are warm and dry right now.

I am warm and dry. I go out on the porch and watch the grand kids playing in the snow for a few minutes then come back in. 

  I am glad the grandkids are having fun in this mess. Me not so much. Josef, is loving it.

Georgian Luger Nodar Kumaritashvili crashed during training and died today.  Praying for his family and  the other athletes.

Northern I just heard about this on the radio. How absolutely awful. My prayers are with his family and the other athletes.

  HI QM!!!! I think of you every time I see the sock monkey in a car commercial.  I don't know what they are advertising because I turn the sound down, but the sock monkey reminds me of you.

Georgian Luger Nodar Kumaritashvili crashed during training and died today.  Praying for his family and  the other athletes.

Here are some shots of his last run.

That's horrible, what was he training for, as you can see I know nothing about these sports.

They have training runs so they get used to the course before they have their real runs.  The other night a bear tried to knock one of the Canadian Luger's off the track as it came out of hibernation and as the athlete said "saw a huge guy in a salmon coloured suit going down a frozen river".  They have extra security near the luge after that for wildlife control.

A man who has admitted taking steroids and is not Canadian has no business carrying the torch at all let alone on the final day IMO.  Glad is was very early and pouring rain!

  Although I would rather it be Ahnold than Obama carrying the torch. Obama won't go to the Olympics because he is still pizzed Chicago didn't get the bid  Bwwwaaaahhhhaaaaahhaaaaaa

Hi Green Eyes, No & Nor Rose! Doing ok I guess. How is everyone, and everyone's pups doing? I've been a little busier these days, which is a good thing. Hanging in there though, dying for spring to begin. I've had enough of winter, and we haven't had all the snow that some of these states got that aren't used to so much!! I want spring though!!!

yes really.  There is also a bobcat that has been seen in the trees by the luge.

HUNTSVILLE, AL (AP) -  Three people were shot and killed and one person wounded on the campus of the University of Alabama-Huntsville Friday.

Emergency workers responded to the call around 4 PM.

University spokesman Ray Garner says a woman is in custody but he could not identify her or any of the victims.

The shooting happened Friday afternoon in the university's Shelby Center, a science building. University police secured the building and students were cleared from it.

We will bring you more information as it becomes available.

Well,at least I found out hubby's daughter is no where around there today.
