Good Afternoon Monkeys....

I took Josef to daycare and since he was already there I went ahead and made an appointment for him to see the vet. Of course, he didn't do the flinching thing he had been doing. The vet checked him out, tugged on his back legs, said his range of motion isn't so good and prescribed rymadil. He said he could do xrays and stuff, but we can try this medicine and if he is better by Monday we will take him off of it and see if the symptoms come back. I asked him if he thought Josef was in good health, he said most definitely that he would never have thought he was 12, more like 7 or 8. He also said he was glad I brought him in now rather than later for the arthritis because we can nip it in the bud. Finally he didn't think I was crazy 

Well, JSM, that is good news.

Vet thinking he was in good shape as a 7 or 8 year-old is great!

Hopefully he'll be able to take Josef off the meds come Monday.

How was skating with your old coach today?

Skating was great, after class we went to her office and watched youtube videos of the other coaches at the rink because my friend had never seen them before. She worked our butts off today.

I hate antibiotics, I also get stomach trouble. No I don't believe I got any reaction to speak of from them, I guess I just figured my infections would be all gone by now after taking the three pills, but that must be wishful thinking. And Brandi you better be careful not to ask me a stupid question  Just kidding. Good thing, we are having Pizza Hut tonight 

We ordered Chinese and it just arrived

We'll eat back here in the office since we are watching a movie and both on our computers.  LOL

  Tomorrow is Sunday, that means Pei Wei for JSM!!! I will go there before I skate.

Today, when I was in the treatment room with Joe, one of the ladies came by and showed me her new little puppy. It was in her chest pocket. Some elderly people surrendered it because it was blind and she took it. It was so cute and cuddly, then Josef saw it in her pocket and went crazy.

Glad to hear Mr. Josef is okay. 

Hey Greeneyes. It's gonna be in the 50's next week.  I hope Josef is okay, he is sleeping right now. Not normal for him this time of night. 

I know I am so looking forward to it warming up and the nights will only be in the 30's. I thought my toes were going to freeze today it was so cold. Even with the heat on the floor was cold.  Maybe with his medicine he isn't hurting so he can relax and sleep. Where is your skating competition going to be this time?

I hate antibiotics, I also get stomach trouble. No I don't believe I got any reaction to speak of from them, I guess I just figured my infections would be all gone by now after taking the three pills, but that must be wishful thinking. And Brandi you better be careful not to ask me a stupid question  Just kidding. Good thing, we are having Pizza Hut tonight 

It takes awhile for them to work, sounds like they have helped your earache. Pizza Hut sounds wonderful.  I should get that tonight, but I really need to lose weight. 

Thank-you, I like a dummy thought as soon as the pills were done so was the infection  I haven't had antibiotics in years, so I'll blame it on forgetfulness. I shouldn't be having pizza either, but oh well

Oh I bet, Zoe would have been very nosy about that situation. It's funny, because if there is a puppy or very small dog, Zoe acts very careful around the pup like she knows she could hurt it by acting to rough while playing.

I was so cold last night, I took Josef out before we went to bed and didn't wear a jacket. I hope the medicine helps, he just jumped on the couch. Good sign. You know what, I don't know where my competition is this time. I'm thinking Plano, but not sure. Then there are districts in May and my coach wants me to skate in that one too. She really wants me and my friend to skate Nationals, but I am not that good. Really my coach just wants a reason to go to Vegas.

You are not a dummy, I am the type once the pills start working, I quit taking the antibiotics. Then I get worse. I want some pizza, but I bet it will take forever for delivery because the Cowboys are playing tonight.

OMG, now I know we are related, when they use to give me a bottle of antibiotics not only would I not finish because I was feeling better, I would horde them for another time  If Josef jumped on the couch he is already feeling better, I noticed that with Zoe also, because before the medicine she would just lay by the couch, because it must have hurt her to jump on it. My husband has the Cowboy game on now.

I really think we were separated by birth No Rose. I have a whole bottle of antibiotics at work from my abcessed tooth. If I take a z pack, I will take the first ones, then feel better and forget to take them. I don't know about Josef feeling better, he is acting weird. I think I am going to take him outside and see if he will run after ducks or something. We are watching Cops tonight. I love that show.

BBL, now I am freaking out reading websites that show bad side effects of the medicine he is taking. I swear the vet is right, I worry more about Josef's health than I do my own.

I know what you mean about the hair on the back standing up. We just walked a bit ago, that stupid woman was out throwing the ball to her dog without a leash and it came running towards Josef. I swear if something happens to that dog or to Josef, I will sue the crap out of that lady. She needs to take the dog to the dog park or the other side of the apartments instead of throwing the ball where most people walk there dog.  BBL, taking him outside to see if he is okay.

Everyone: I have been wondering what this emoticon means for a long time. Muffy often comes in here and just posts the emoticon. And I have no idea what she is saying or why people use it. What are they saying when they use it?

 

(To me looks like a cowboy saying, "put your dukes up, I am ready to fight." But I probably am way off base.

Brandi, I have wondered what the cowboy smiley means also, I think your meaning makes a lot of sense, didn't even think of that, but I bet that's it.    JSM get off the computer looking up the medicine that Josef is on. My oldest daughter who is in nursing school is always looking up crap and thinks she has it  I have said to her I'm glad you are becoming a nurse, but if you are going to think you have everything, how are you going to deal with that profession? Sometimes all that does looking up pills and their side effects is drive you crazy and gets you nervous. Every pill has some scary side effects, that is why I stopped looking at that.

Now I feel bad, JSM I didn't mean to come off so strong, but I know how nervous you are with Josef, because I'm the same way with Zoe. The vet that you trust wouldn't put him on something that he felt was bad for him  If he is acting a little strange, it could be his body adjusting to the medicine.
