We just finished dinner (I made a huge shepherd's pie) and watched The Wire while we ate.

I ate too much, but hubby is raiding the cookie jar. LOL

I've never been given an antibiotic that didn't do something too my stomach. Eat and go to bed, that sounds like a good idea. I'm going to go and get ready for bed soon, I can barely keep my eyes open any longer.

Here's one similar to what we had:



They use kerosene oil to burn. Or "lamp oil"

That's very pretty.

Here's some of what I have (I have about 7)

(Only this one hangs in the living room)


And these are the moonstone ones, I have two with ducks painted on them, made for Eddie Bauer or LL Bean back in the 70's, I guess. And I have about 2 nickel and 2 brass, but my favorite is a 1935 Beehive lamp, which I didn't find a quick pick of. This beehive lamp cost me 25 cents at a garage sale, and thus started my addiction to Aladdin lamps. Oh, and I have another old nickel hanging one downstairs in the man cave. ANd they do put off the heat, and are bright enough to read and sew by. I love 'em!

There must be something about 25 cent items at garage sales, that is also how I started my Fiesta addiction...one 25 cent creamer...and it wasn't even really Fiesta, it was Harlequin, but it was close enough!

(oh, little Harry's mum and dad showed up, he took the movie home cos we weren't finished, oiy to the vey on the late charges!!!!)

Those lamps are awesome Tevye. I had never heard of aladdin lamps until today. You monkeys teach me so much every day.

My sidekick has been up half the night coughing.    His Mom is bringing his little machine for his breathing treatments.We are not quitters.   
We joined Clubpenguin,we got gaming to do.
