Since the weather has been in the news so much, I've created a thread so people can compare, post bulletins and photos etc.

I'll start with a live cam shot I captured yesterday of the beach near my home.  Please don't hate me for currently having perfect weather

It is a little cold today as the high most likely won't be over 71 or so.   Monkey Devil!

Sat. January , 2010

8:16 am  9 degrees

High today 24

This is Northern Texas

It's beautiful out this morning with lots of sunshine. Just looking outside I would think I was in sunny Southern Calif. until you open the door and the cold air hits you in the face.

Good Morning...!

Light Snow
High today 22
Currently 12

The scene outside is just beautiful.....there is a blanket of white all over the area.

You wonder if you really have to go to the grocery or dry cleaners when you
can't find your walkway?

I could make a fair size snowman if I were younger and had a couple of kids
ready to help...!  Your little guy is cute Klaas...maybe a record for small...lol.

I was listening to my local news radio channel yesterday and they were interviewing a guy from I think Fargo, North Dakota.  He was saying it was -35 and the question was how do you get by?

This guy was talking about BBQing outside.  He has his BBQ set up just outside his window and he opens his window just long enough to flip the food.    He has really long tongs and only puts his arm out for a few seconds.  You should have heard this guy talking, he sounded like his mouth was frozen.

This is Miami now -- 7:00 pm.
Yesterday we were in the mid 70's -- not a cloud in the sky -- chamber of commerce kind of day.

Klaas,

Thanks for the beach seen, it warms me up.

I understand the frigid cold, zap's the germs, never understood how that works. We may not be happier in single digits

but maybe healthier. LOL

Had black ice on the roads this morning - with cars going into the ditches.

Warming up now.....Snow and 24.....going down to 16 in the morning.  Put a thermometer in the basement and found that the temp is 54.  That is where all
the pipes are so I am not as worried about them freezing.

This is kind of a long cold spell...yuck.

CBB....coming your way....lol.
