The Bald Truth has learned Misty Croslin, 18, ex-stepmother to missing six year old Haleigh Cummings, was arrested late Wednesday on six felony drug trafficking charges for allegedly selling prescription medications to undercover officers in Putnam County, Florida, as part of a month long investigation into illegal prescription drug dealing.

Her bond was set at a whopping $950,000. Records show she was initially booked into the Putnam County Jail at 9:38 p.m., then, according to my sources, transferred to St. John’s County Jail.

The charges center on buying and selling prescription drugs, said Lt. Johnny Greenwood, a sheriff's office spokesman.

"Today, the second phase of the operation was concluded," Greenwood said Wednesday night. "Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin purchased trafficking amounts of prescription medications from undercover investigators. Both individuals were immediately arrested and taken into custody without incident."

SATSUMA, Fla. - (AP) — The father and former stepmother of a missing north Florida girl have been arrested in a drug sting.

The Putnam County Sheriff's Office said 26-year-old Ronald Cummings and 18-year-old Misty Croslin were among several arrested Wednesday in a prescription drug trafficking sting. An undercover detective purchased nearly $4,000 worth of prescription drugs from them.

Croslin is being held on $950,000 bond. Cummings is being held on $500,000 bond.

Haleigh Cummings disappeared in early 2009 and has not been found. Misty Croslin was baby-sitting the 5-year-old girl at the time. Croslin later married Haleigh's father, but the two have reportedly separated.

Parents Of Missing Girl Arrested On Drug Charges

PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. -- The last known person to see Haleigh Cummings before she disappeared nearly a year ago is in more legal trouble Thursday morning.

Misty Croslin, Haleigh's father Ron Cummings, Misty's brother Hank Croslin, Jr. and Hope Sykes are all in jail after being charged with trafficking prescription drugs. Orlando resident Donna Broch was also arrested in connection with the others.


Ronald and Misty Cummings divorced in October, but investigators say they have been on their tails for the last month watching them run a drug operation, even selling prescription drugs oxycodone and hydrocodone to undercover deputies.

Misty Croslin is in jail Thursday, facing six counts of trafficking prescription drugs. Her ex-husand Ronald, the father of Haleigh Cummings, is also in jail facing the same charges.

Putnam County sheriff's deputies say the pair was together in St. John's County, near St. Augustine, when they tried to buy prescription drugs from an undercover deputy.

Investigators say a tip prompted their month-long operation that found the duo was allegedly buying and selling oxycodone and hydrocodone.

Investigators also say they had help from three others: Misty's brother Hank Croslin, Jr., her friend Hope Sykes and Donna Broch, a woman who was in the car with Misty when she was involved in a suspected road rage incident in Seminole County last year.

This is all significant because Misty Croslin-Cummings was the last known person to see then 5-year-old old Haleigh Cummings before she disappeared in February of 2009.

Misty has maintained the story she told investigators when they questioned her about Haleigh's disappearance, telling them that someone took the child from her bed while she was sleeping.

Misty Croslin's bond has been set at $950,000, and Ronald Cummings' bond is set at $500,000.

Misty Croslin is scheduled to make her first appearance in front of a judge to hear the charges against her Thursday morning in St. John's County.
