George Anthony had a yearlong affair with a woman and told her that granddaughter Caylee’s “death was an accident that snowballed out of control,” WFTV-Channel 9 reported tonight.

The jaw-dropping report, from WFTV’s Kathi Belich, opened the 5 and 6 p.m. newscasts tonight. Belich cited the woman’s sister, Skye Benhaida of Orange County, as the source of the story, but never named the woman in question.

Casey Anthony, George’s daughter, is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

The alleged mistress “looks a lot like the description George gave detectives of Zanny the nanny,” WFTV anchor Bob Opsahl said. Casey Anthony had said she left her daughter with a nanny named Zanny. Belich’s source said George had modeled his description of Zanny on her sister, down to an Asian-style tattoo on her arm.

George’s affair started shortly after Casey Anthony was arrested, and the woman had two “intimate” photos of George and racy text messages with him that she shared with detectives,  Belich reported. The alleged mistress has also taken a lie-detector test and talked with invesitgators for hours, Belich said.

In one of the more amazing passages in the story, Belich said, “She [her source] told me her sister gave George almost $5,000 over the course of their affair and was told by investigators George had taken money from other women as well.”

Belich said George Anthony’s lawyer would not answer questions and she he hadn’t received information from investigators. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office told Belich it wouldn’t discuss specifics of her report, and the state attorney’s office told her it wouldn’t discuss evidence that hadn’t been made public. 

In other Anthony news:

*** Judge Stan Strickland denied the defense’s request to stop taping Casey’s jail meetings with her attorneys, WFTV reported.
**George and Cindy Anthony have hired a new attorney to help them save their home from foreclosure, WFTV reported. The Anthonys haven’t paid their mortgage for nine months.

***Despite their money troubles, George and Cindy have deposited $250 in Casey’s jail account since Feb. 11, WFTV reported.

***Casey Anthony’s request for indigency concerns state administrators.

WESH-Channel 2’s Bob Kealing said the Justice Administrative Commisson raised the issue because Anthony has spent more than $100,000 on her attorneys.

“We still don’t know where those funds came from,” Kealing said.

Judge Strickland will have a hearing on the indigency issue next week, and the Justice Administrative Commission wants to participate. Anthony is asking the state to pay for costs with her case, but Kealing highlighted that the commission says it doesn’t pay travel expenses.

When WFTV  asked the SA about this report they said they would not discuss EVIDENCE ( so there is some evidence) that had not  yet been made public !!!!
George's Lawyer would not comment but would not deny that GA had a relationship with this woman.
Why is she just coming forward? Dunno, but remember the old saying- Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned-    maybe he traded her in for a newer model and she realized she had been taken for $5000..
