Maybe I'm just dumb but if Misty would tell Lenny where Haleigh is before he bails her out, wouldn't she have to stay where she is and charged with other charges? This makes no sense to me. 

I am just as confuzzled as you are about this.  IF MISTY told Lenny ... is that not a client priviledge as well.  But by telling SOMETHING about HaLeigh's whereabouts, she JUST MAY get a reduced sentance.  That is about all I can contribute to this and then I maybe totally wrong.  Maybe someone else with legal info can give us a head's up.

This would be an excellent question for one of the callers to BNN show today.  Please explain what all this means in layman's terms.

Exactly, I wish someone would explain this better. My thoughts would be why talk if you are just going to have more charges thrown at you? I really believe Misty would have talked by now. And if Tommy had anything to do with Haleigh, Misty would have talked by now, she is throwing him under the bus for petty burglary. But then if Tommy helped Misty with say doing something with Haleigh's body, I don't see either of them talking.

Very possible NRCG.  At this point anything is possible as no avenue has been ruled out.  Lenny is just tossing out thoughts the same as we do on these boards, IMO.  Just because he is a bounty hunter and we are civilians, does not make his word any more credible than ours. IMO.

He also thought Caylee was alive until he bailed Casey out. I just really wish he would stay out of this, the police have them all right where they want them. Anything is possible, but I will say that is one thought that never entered my mind in this case.

   This stuff just eats at my craw.  Speaking in general here about anyone that is in jail, gives out valuable information to help solve the case ... and BINGO their sentence is reduced.

So, you can be a liar for days, months, years and as soon as you are honest for one day ... your bread is butterd on the other side.  You get a reduced sentence which I believe would give you possible parole earlier.

Yet the bottom line is ... you lied in the first place.  I know it is a bribe (in a way) to get the info.  Which is great to help the case ... but I don't like the REWARDS.

On Feb. 9, the night after Croslin returned to Cummings' mobile home from the weekend of partying, Sykes dropped by. She said she was upset that Croslin had gone off and left her grandson without anyone to watch over the two kids.

"I was mad because Ronald let her come back," she said. "But it's his house. There wasn't nothing I could do about it other than be mad."

By the next morning, Haleigh was gone.

TY IM for this interesting article, I found it very informative, and bolded a part that I had never heard or read before.

I think this could explain why Misty never mentioned GGMS visit that evening, she wasn't there, but we read everywhere where GGMS said she stopped by with a friend to bring clean clothes, and saw the kids eating dinner out on the porch. Hmmm, sort of adds a new insight into the evening if it is indeed true. JMO

great catch.  Here's my gut reaction regarding GGMS> she was MAD that Misty (the live-in girlfriend) left her grandson (the children's FATHER) without anyone to watch over the kids.  She puts this in Misty's lap, when neither her or TN could or would babysit them.  TN reportedly offered to PAY Misty to stay and watch the kids (IMO... it was also a BRIBE for her to stay home so ronnie wouldn't be upset)  IMO... they didn't want to watch the kids so Misty could go party again.  They were trying to keep her home because that's where ronnie (FAB) wanted her.  These  people make me sick.

Why don't they see FAB is ultimately the ONE PERSON who could have made a difference that night, had he NOT be such a controlling ego maniac and either found a responsible ADULT to watch the kids, or stay home with them.

RON, it's your fault that something happened to your daughter and I hope you spend the rest of your life paying for it.

Teresa, if you read here, ron is NOT smart.  He's a stupid POS and a liar, and the reason your little granddaughter is "MISSING".  I feel for you, but when you wear your blinders and talk about how his main focus was his kids, you really really really pi$$ me off.

get real.  don't be hated like cindy anthony.  be respected, and be respectable.  it will serve you so much better.

Looks like FAB is going to have a long time to sit and think about his mistakes, IMO he needs to control ALL the GF's in his life because his mom didn't raise him and when CS di get the balls to leave him he used the kids as the only control he had left over her. Sounds just like what my ex did to his first wife, but damn he's now (my ex) in his own living hell that he created because his own kids disowned him and cut him out of their lives yrs ago and he has no one left and nothing to control.

If GMS husband is deceased...who is "pop" she spoke of in the jail house tape....when she she said "pop said there was a snitch in here" I will always believe gms is the grandmaster of this circus and reading she raised him for 9 yrs confirms it for me. He did not have very good role models as he was growing up..jmo.

February 10, 2009 was early morning when 5-year-old HaLeigh Cummings of Satsuma, FL was discovered missing from her home at Hermit’s Cove.

As we approach the one-year anniversary of her disappearance, not much more is really known as to how she vanished and who might have taken her and where she is now.

What is known of that night so far, according to Putnam County Sheriff’s and FDLE investigators is that:

* The girl’s father, Ronald Cummings was at work at PDM in Palatka.
* The girl’s mother was in Baker County.
* The girl’s babysitter-then stepmother-then ex-stepmother Misty Croslin was the last person to see HaLeigh and investigators believe she is the key to this case. They maintain that her stories about the night are inconsistent and conflict with the evidence.

On January 20, 2009, Ronald Cummings and Misty Croslin along 3 others on drug trafficking charges. All remain behind bars at this time. Investigators say the cases are separate from the disappearance of HaLeigh, but they will be asking them a lot of questions about that night while they are in jail. Apparently drugs have been an issue with Ronald Cummings and Misty Cummings prior to HaLeigh’s disappearance, brought to light early in the investigation by private investigator William “Cobra” Staubs. Click here for audio (R-rated language.

News Talk 97.3 The Sky has confirmed the story that HaLeigh’s mother Crystal Sheffield recently failed a drug test . That was a finding at a family status hearing last Monday. Crystal has been ordered to rehab. Her son, HaLeigh’s little brother  Ronald Cummings Jr.,  remains with Crystal’s family in Baker County. He has been there since shortly after Ronald Cummings Sr. was arrested on drug charges.
