SATSUMA, Fla. --
The family of missing girl Haleigh Cummings, 6, plans to gold a vigil in Satsuma tomorrow.

Haleigh Cummings has been missing for one year and police said several searched have turned up nothing.

According to Misty Croslin, the last person to see the child, Haleigh was taken from her bed at her home in Satsuma.

Police said tips and several searches near the child home have turned up nothing.

The vigil for Haleigh will be held tomorrow at 6 p.m. on Tyler and Monroe streets.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -- A local dentist is in jail, accused of trading prescriptions for crack cocaine.

The investigation into Dr. Richard Verrette began last November when a detective with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office began investigating several prescriptions.

Police said they were written to people who weren't patients at Verrette's office for such controlled substances as oxycodone and hydrocodone.

"Right. He was using his drug pad, prescription pad to write out prescriptions for OxyContin in exchange for crack cocaine," said JSO Officer Mike McCall.

Police sent an undercover officer posing as a crack dealer to make a deal, according to a JSO report. The officer gave the dentist a baggie of fake crack cocaine in exchange for two prescriptions written out to Williams.

After the transaction, Verrette was arrested. Deputies found a crack pipe and a container with cocaine residue in his pockets.

"It shocked us. He's a very good friend. We're just in shock," said family friend Ray Christian.

Verrette faces nine counts of trafficking in illegal drugs, seven for oxycodone and two for hydrocodone, as well as five counts of possession/selling a controlled substance. He is being held on a $2.5 million bond.

Penny, I understand what you posted.    Fingerprints - if from a known person - wouldn't mean much in terms of who was present in the home that night or not.

But LE is stating the evidence they collected from the home does not match any of the (up to) 76 people they've collected from.

So in my mind that DNA is not Haleighs (like from a hair brush) is not Ron's (as they would know his from having Haleigh's).  Don't know if any matches Misty, as LE has not stated if she submitted to DNA that I've seen.

i get ya and like i said i didn't read the article or know when it was released or anyting but if what you posted is 100% accurate then how would they determine that misty or ron knew them?
any federal offense requires a dna sample... there are instances where dna can tell lineage like brother sister mom dad etc... perhaps they have an idea of whose it is and they know that ron and misty know that person... if it didn't match over 70 peoples dna then maybe something like this:
harry was busted for a felony and is in jail ron and misty know harry but harry couldn't have done it because he was in jail .... but the dna is a 60% match to harry's (or however the terminology goes) so le then knows it is a relative of harry and hence surmise that misty and ron knows the relative as well...

OK, just finished reading up on everything that was posted since I turned off the comp,  last night,....this girl is a fruitcake, thats for sure, what in the world is she trying to prove, I wish I could see a good picture of her so I could look at my pictures from the vigil and see if she was there, I was there before anyone else got there and I basically  stood right by the gate with Crystal and Sarah and my daughter,  and watched everyone that arrived and I can tell if she was there, There was another woman in the car with Teresa and Mrs. Sykes but she was older and I thought she was a Aunts of Ronalds, anyways, what a weirdo.....

no here is the breakdown... bipolar is a nut out of state who inserts herself in the case
kelly is her best friend on ms and fb se is pro misty and she is supposedly related to lester and was supposedly at the vigil.. i found her via nut job bipolars ms and followed the trail... bp's ms is now private but i posted links and copies of a typical convo between the two a couple pages back...
