San the pictures are gorgeous. I loved how everything changed colors with each set of fireworks. Blue, red, white and pink. Thank you for sharing.

You're welcome Green Eyes.  I thought the color changes were cool too.

Another child missing

http://www.stltoday.com/news/local/article_7fb32622-88ac-11df-ba71-0017a4a78c22.html

Mo. child disappears from front yard

Police in Louisiana, Mo., have issued an Amber Alert for Alisa Maier, 4, who disappeared tonight.

Alisa was playing in her front yard with her brother when a black four- door passenger car pulled up and took the child from the yard about 8 p.m., according to police.

Alisa is white with brown hair and brown eyes and 3 feet tall. She was last seen wearing a white T-shirt and blue jean shorts.

The only description of the driver of the car was that he was a young white man with dark hair.

Anyone with information about the abduction is asked to call the Louisiana Police Department at 573-754-4021.

Louisiana is on the Mississippi River, about 80 miles north of St. Louis.

OS

Thank you, OS.  I'm hoping and praying she's found safe and found soon.  Muffy

Klaasend has started a thread for Alisa in the Missing Person's Forum.  Link to Alisa Maier's thread:

How to get rid of Gnats:

The most popular home remedy is the vinegar bottle trap. Fill a bottle almost till the top with vinegar and close it. Poke several holes inside the cap and place it at a strategic corner or a place where you think the gnats are breeding.

Gnats are attracted to the smell of vinegar; they will climb into the bottle through the holes but won’t be able to climb out. This method is very effective and you can place many such traps in the house.
In a bowl, mix some vinegar with a little bit of dish soap. The vinegar will attract the gnats and they will climb into the bowl. The dish soap will cease friction and even if the gnats try to wriggle out, they will keep slipping inside.

Look out for over-watered indoor plants, or other moist corners around the house. Disinfect them as they may have the eggs of gnats. Spray generous amounts of ‘Gnatrol’ or any such disinfectant / chemical agent that is meant exclusively for getting rid of gnats.

Another way is to place a rotten fruit on a plate at the window sill or just outside the door. The gnats will get attracted by the smell of food and you can dispose them off in bulk

FYI - In the event that SM goes down and doesn't come back up for a long period of time (like an entire day), it's likely because the upgrade to the new server is being done.  It may happen this week.  Don't have an exact date yet but thought I'd give you all the heads up.

Deenie you are welcome. I love Jimmy too. He is giving a free concert in the Gulf. It was suppose to be July 3, but because of the tropical storm it was posponed until July 11. CMT is suppose to broadcast it.

Want you to know we lived in Royal Oak, Michigan for a year, way back when. We needed to be close to Henry Ford Hospital. I still remember the winter and the wind. Had to hold onto the buildings to turn the corner. I know you know what I am talking about. LOL

I don't know where to put this. A very informative video, expecially for all who live in California. I know we talk about putting people in prison and throwing away the key, and I am guilty of that also. Maybe this is why other countries do not have life sentences.

SuzieQ - Do you know if that is " Joe Perry" from Aerosmith playing lead guitar in the Vid with Gene Simmons. ??

Looked like him. I tried looking it up on the net.. I found others asking the same ..Yet no answer.  I love Gene Simmons. I grew up on Kiss. I think that " Gene's Family Jewels" is a good watch. I think his kids are amazing.  Very unique and talented like their parents. Shannon, I give her all the props in the world. For having two incredible kids and putting up with Gene Razz.

I know all Kiss's songs - but this one I think is my all time favorite. Peter Criss

SQ - I watched the first 3 mins of the vid. I don't have to watch the rest of it to understand it. (( thank you for posting it)) it is a worthy watch for sure. I am a documentary Junkie.. not that I know all. The topic makes me angry. ;o
I think if you want to post this type of vid you should share it in the " political" cage. Klaas made a new cage " News worthy Politics" and then there is a Political cage too. Many people lurk and read. Not many posters. No worries the readers are there. If you re-post this in one of the cages mentioned. I am sure many will watch it.

Sorry Deenie, I don't know. These bands are from my childrens era. Mine was Elvis. I found Family Jewels though and loved it. You are right, I think that everyone in that family is very intellegent.

Thanks Deenie, I'll try and find those threads although I try to stay away from the Political thread.  I'm not sure this is a political issue, if so it should cross party lines. I sure don't know the answer. Maybe I'll let Klaas decide if it belongs over there.

4th of July in this Year of 2010

<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/f7rr-QI0ziY&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1?rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/f7rr-QI0ziY&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1?rel=0</a>

When the lights go down in the city
And the sun shines on the bay
I want to be there in my city
Ooh, ooh
So you think you’re lonely
Well my friend I’m lonely too
I want to get back to my city by the bay
Ooh, ooh
--
I want my Country back and for it to be enhanced and not reborn with the wills of others who find themselves in office today.
I am an American and I can ...
maybe I should have put this in JSM's cage.
--
I love everyone's vids of the fireworks
San's video of Ray .. awesome.
I believe in the people as We are the People.  School House Rock Smile
<a href="http://www.youtube.com/v/pIKhRERqPS4&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1?rel=0" target="_blank">http://www.youtube.com/v/pIKhRERqPS4&amp;amp;hl=en_US&amp;amp;fs=1?rel=0</a>

Now if only they could learn to spell Constitution.

I loved the fireworks, too, San and the videos here.  Thanks!
