No Runzas in Wichita that I am aware of.

Our homegrown fast food joint, other than the Nationals like Pizza Hut, Taco Tico, and White Kastle's is a place that started out as 'Craigs Coney Island' and morphed into 'Spangles' several years ago.

Our big local Drive-in's were T&C's aka 'Town and Country' super popular 'in the day', defunct now and Kings-X also gone.

Now it's just  'Sonic', which I have one in my front yard and an occasional A&W.


We finally got a Sonic two miles away.  No A & W.  I remember hopping in the stationwagon and going to A & W for root beers.  Miss that.

AZ, I'm so glad your baby poodle survived the chocolate.  My first Yorkie drank a couple cups of coffee someone left on the floor at a party we went to.  Then he went bonkers and entertained us all with puppy energy fueled w/ caffeine.  I later found out that the caffeine could have killed him.  Sad

I never thought of caffeine as dangerous SF!  I knew about the chocolate and dogs though...  

We once had a boxer who knocked over a bottle of beer and lapped up as  much as he could.  He developed a taste for it and would beg and beg for a little sip from anyone who had a bottle! Shocked  Laughing

Don't know where Sonic actually started out, but they've been around here as far back as I remember. Sonic was always the place to go for a good cherry coke.

Sonic's have really been evolving in the last few years, now a days they are my favorite BLT and Extra Long Chili Cheese Coney place.

Course being a bit of a car guy I frequent the places that allow me to park for the most effective display of my vehicles while dining.
